I had the NovaSure Proceedure in 2007. It never stopped my periods, but it did make them lighter and only last for three days. My ex husband that I was with at the time was fixed after my last child. I went to a specialist in 2011 to see if I would ever be able to get pregnant again because my ex had a reversal...they told me that there was no way, and that the only way I would ever be able to have another pregnancy again would be by another woman carring for me. That the NovaSure scared my cervix shut, and that they couldn't even get the scope through it.
I am three weeks pregnant right now, and everything is A-OK so far!! I still can't believe it!!!! I thought it was impossible...obviously not lol

Hello I was wondering how long did you wait to take the pregnancy test? I have had my tubs tied and ablation done some 8 years ago. Lately I have I've been breaking out, having to go to the bathroom a lot, having slightly cramps. I have taken 2 pregnancy test both came back negative.

I had my tubes tied and Ablation as well. Same situation as you and now want another child. I have been going to a Fertility Dr and she said she can do a hysteroscopy and place a balloon inside and pump me with estrogen to try and re-build my uterine wall. I will keep you posted if it works.

For those who wonder if their ablation was not performed correctly because their periods resumed: it is very difficult to remove every bit of endometrial tissue or burn every part of it, and anything left will regrow. The rate of regrowth is the issue. For most women, it doesn't to the point of having to then go on to a hysterectomy (due to painful periods or heavy bleeding). If you have had an ablation and have a period very similar to prior, AND wish to get pregnant, talk to your doctor. They should be able to check the lining of your uterus and determine your risk, although like others have reiterated, all women who have had ablations are advised not to get pregnant. It can result in very serious problems. It is a blessing to see where ladies' have been successful, but please don't take a post on the Internet over personally talking to a qualified OB/GYN and being examined.

You may be able to find a doctor do perform a myomectomy to remove your fibroid(s) without disturbing your uterus. Many doctors do not mention this option, but the head of gynecology at Mercy in Baltimore will do this procedure. I hope you have found a good doctor to help you. It does sound like your uterus has quite a lining again given how rough your periods are.

I had gotten pregnant 3yrs after my ablation. Pregnancy was awful. Dr refused to see me anymore due to not wanting to have an abortion. I went into labor 3 times. I was life flighted at 30wks when my uterus ruptured. Although the they didn't realize this til almost 12hrs later when they decided to take me to surgery....... I bled out and died. They were able to revive me since they were prepared with blood. I had 12 blood transfusions before I was out of the critical range over 3 days. My life was dangling on a thread. It was all worth it! My son is now 4yrs old and perfect. He had health problems they said would never go away and even leave him physically and mentally delayed........after a year old he was retested and miraculously the bleeds in his brain had disappeared. He only survived the 12hrs after the uterine rupture because he had a bilobed placenta!!! The one part was completely detached because it was where the rupture was. The other lobe was attached on the back of the placenta. He is definitely a miracle and was meant to be here. I'm on FB if you have questions or would like to know more. April A Garcia (LaMasChiquita). It is extremely dangerous to have a pregnancy after ablation and I wouldn't wish my experience on anyone.
