I did not get as much pain when I switched from cigs to vaping. After I stopped vapping it came back. On a side note... Vapping sucks water from your lungs, so I started getting simptoms from dehidration...took me a year to figure out what was really wrong.....please drink extra water then normal if your going to vape

First of all I just want to thank everyone who posted their experiences. It is now day 5 of no cigs and I am having mild chest pain (more tightness than pain) in the left part of my chest. I'm 36 and unfortunately started smoking at age 12. I suffer from anxiety and have been losing my mind not knowing what is going on with me. I have also smoking marijuana in conjacent with cigs which I also quit 5 days ago. After reading the comments on how common chest pain is after quiting has put my mind at ease and instantly seemed to help my anxiety. I'm going to see a doctor anyways to make sure.

I asked my doctor about twinges I feel in my "heart area", actually my left side, but I originally was afraid it was my heart. He asked how long I smoked for and said that that is just damage in the lungs. It can happen for at least half the time you smoked for after quitting.

Same over here 2, cold turkey for 2 weeks. Only symptoms are left chest tightness off and on and was wondering if that was normal because the body is working over drive to get rid of the bad toxins. Congrats to all that have attempted to quit and are still smoke free
