When you Quit smoking, Your blood circulation increases. Also smoking has shifted fat cells in our veins to group together do to heat. The blood now flowing at a normal pace can break up those clumps of fat. It will be painful. I was a smoker for 5 years and I feel it too. I also felt this the first month I became vegan.
All in all, the heart is clearing away the fat clusters.

Just found your thread which sounded similar to what I am experiencing and finding it a little alarming as I quit smoking 3 a day 6 months ago and don't feel any better , if anything much worse . However your thread resonated with me to keep going and hopefully its withdrawal symptoms ( I bloody hope so ) as im getting worse but going to persevere . Thank you for your sharing .
