swelling under the head of the penis

i got a small portion swollen under my penis head today. the head came out a day before yesterday. i consulted a nearby doctor. he told me to get it operated. there is no pain and sebum either. m scared to get it operated. help!!

last night i had trouble sleeping as my penis itched like hell. When i woke up i found the upper right part of my penis just below the head swollen. Most of of the people above have had sex. But i did not so is this problem serious?

Alright guys, I found this out the hard way, okay so one day I ran out of lube and beat off with Vaseline and found that the bottom of the head had swelled pretty bad... Aside from that the reason is that there is a lack of lubricant between the head and the part underneath the head, so next time your beat it or dry hump try to get some lubrication in there and if swelling doesn't go down after a week see a doctor, and if the head turns purple get to the hospital pretty fast cause that means you've lost circulation....

I'm having the same sort of problems. Right underneath the head of my penis, near the front... It's kind of soft and squishy, and the vain underneath the head is super hard and hurts with a lot of pressure.. I have done a lot of dry humping lately without any lubricant on my penis. I noticed it immediately after we finished dry humping. It makes my penis look really fat.. I would really like some answers.. Better answers than some of these. Thanks.

REMEDY:

after a prolonged masturbation session the next day i was awoken to a swollen section right under the head.  i am circumcised.  the swollen section felt tender and hurting.  i read a ton of forums and the best result i got was:

1. DO NOT PUT A HOT COMPRESS

2. DO PUT ICE TO REDUCE SWELLING

3.  GO TO THE STORE AND BUY VERY TIGHT UNDERWEAR KIDS SIZE IF YOU HAVE TO AND "TUCK" YOUR PENIS

4.  DO NOT MASTURBATE OR TRY TO GET YOUR PENIS HARD because it will fill with fluid and you are trying to get rid of fluid

these should reduce the swelling.

also i noticed that i had like a hard vein that was never there before or hard or hard bulbs or little balls or knots under the head.  i don't know if i should have done this but i smashed them and it became soft.  because i had irritated it a bit i could see some of it getting swollen.  i took some medical wrapping tape the non-stick kind and wrapped it in that area to reduce the new swelling also i have been taking motrin ever since this happened twice a day.  it started on friday morning it is now monday night there is significant swelling loss and hopefully this will be done with.

i'm a 17 year old and last night i was at a concert grinding for a long time and when i checked my penis the foreskin was pulled back and it was swollen and inflamed. The swelling has greatly reduced but the tip of the penis has still some swelling, I don't know what to do and i am scared. Will the inflammation go away? How am i supposed to approach my parents about this? I hope I don't have to. 

Just a few hours ago my girlfriend gave me a "Hand Job" at the movies.. My penis was very dry and I was too caught up in the moment to realize the pain.. My skin went all the way back and there is swelling just under the rim of the head on the left side only.. Between the "bubble" and my head there is this weird yellow stuff that looks like mini solar panels xD.. It hurts extremely when I walk and stuff.. The skin finally went over my entire head but the swelling is still there when I pull my skin back.. How long will it take to go away?

Here is my share of this issue. Currently I also have an allergic reaction and I thought that my swelling has something to do with the medication's side effect. I freak out and went to the ER, after 3 or 4 doctors visit, they tested everything and decided that it has nothing to do with any allergy and suggest me to wear tight brief underwear and stand + sitting as often as possible. If the swollen doesnt go down then I will have to come back. But so far as I research, if the friction between your penis and pants hurt you, then by all mean take one pain killer. Otherwise, use ice pack wrapped in a towel and put it on to reduce the swelling and wear tight underwear to reduce the swollen.

If you guys have high fever or headache with the swelling, please go see a doctor immediately. Other than that, if you see the ring and shaft area puffy, filled with fluid, then that is lymphatic fluid caused the donut effect, yea, google it... most of the time because we did it dry.... the traumatize penis react that way.... USE LOT OF FLUID NEXT TIME FOLKS...

I am having the same problem. After reading many websites, I have come to the conclusion that it could be balanitis. It is an inflammation of the head or foreskin of the penis. I do not yet know the cause, but it should heal with ointment use in a little under a week. Hope this helped!
