I have noticed these symptoms when I drink soda. I notice them a lot less when I am drinking the right amount of water. I get a burning feeling on my clitoris and it is uncomfortable. It sounds like you have a bladder infection. I am not sure what mine is but I think its the onset of a bladder infection. Maybe my bodies way of telling me "DRINK WATER AND CRANBERRY JUICE!" lol. Also if you are prone to bladder infections take cranberry pills everyday. And if you are purchasing Cranberry juice make sure its 100% juice.
Hope this helps.
I visited my doctor the day after and was prescribed antibiotic Metronidazole 400 mg twice a day , I continue to be the same but only two days into this medication.
Hope this works , but see so many ladies suffer from this , it awful.
anyone ever get tested for BV? just a thought... its just like a yeat infection
I have been to the doctor twice in the past two weeks. She keeps saying it is a yeast infection. Right now I am standing at my desk because of my burning labia. It hurts really bad. I am going to ask her tonight.
Hello,
I am 37 and have major rashes "down there". It occurred after I had my baby last year, and had prolonged bleeding after, and I think the pads irritated it immensely. However, the pain was not constant, and I used diaper cream to get rid of it and was usually ok. But it has just been getting worse. This last July I finally visited a doc, who did nothing. So I went to a different doc, who gave me a steroid cream. That helped at first, but then I feel almost like my body is addicted to it, and it completely thinned out the skin in that area and made the rash spread and now the pain is just constant. I went to the dr yesterday and he took me off the steroids and gave me an estrogen cream. So far that has done nothing. My husband is at the store right now getting a domeboro soak, and i have an appt with a dermatologist this week. I am so frustrated, I feel like it will never go away and medication has made it worse.
I am wondering if there some merit to changing my diet. Maybe I should get rid of coffee, alcohol, bread and dairy? I just don't know what else to do. It's kind of scary when even trained OBGYNs can't help, and actually worsen the problem.
Thanks, I will try that. It could be the toilet paper at work as it is no doubt the cheap kind. I was on a week worth of yeast infection pills, which didn't get rid of the pain of my burning labia.
Someone please help! Ok to start off I have no medical insurance or mass amounts of money that could possibly help me to see a doctor.. But..Id say a week or two ago ...I went to a party and got unbelievably drunk. Point is I unitentionally slept with two guys that same night...Im sorry for that information... I regret the entire thing! Id say about two nights ago my vagina became reallly itchy so I scratched it and it went away. This morning Dec. 27 I woke up and it was itching again but not so bad..I noticed that on my panties there were clumpy brown things..? I immediately took a shower and looked down there to see what was going on. The right side of my clit is swollen..I checked the discharge and it looks normal..? I guess white no clumps in it or anything. I am now wearing cotton panties that fit comfortably.. Anyways the point is I dont have any horrible pains as Ive read in the other posts. Im just worried because one side of my clit is very inflamed. I dont know what to do and Im so scared :c Please someone respond asap!!!
Now I am trying Vitamin E and it seems to be helping. Also I have been doing Espom Salt baths as well.
Try some Vitamin E on the sore bits - use the liquid form, make sure it is the pure kind of Vitamin E, not mixed with any other kinds of lotions/chemicals.
I have suffered from this problem as well for the last year. I get it at ovulation and during my period. It kills me and today I thought I was going to kill someone because the itch was driving me insane. The doctor diagnosed me with a form of candida and the antibiotic only clears it up for one month before I start ovulating again and the itch comes back. The cream does nothing. It's not from the pill because I haven't been on the pill. However, I did a bit of research today and it sounds like Cytolytic vaginosis. I found: http://www.dermnetnz.org/site-age-specific/cytolytic-vaginosis.html and http://www.encognitive.com/node/6031
Ladies, I did the baking soda bath and it worked a treat. I went a bit overboard with the baking soda and it stung a bit but as I was rinsing off in the shower I noticed that the itch had disappeared. It was gone in 10 minutes. The relief was amazing! Apparently you do the bath every 3 days until it clears up and it should clear up. I think I'll do it every day for the next week!
I'll post back again and see if it continues to be successful.
I have a friend who began extreme burning in that area about 3 months ago. She has been to several specialists and was even hospitalized - several tests have been run - and no diagnosis has been made. Several things have been tried (soaking in soda water, use of various cremes). Nothing has helped, except for putting ice cubes on the area. She keeps saying that she cannot live like this any longer - that there's no hope. If ANYONE out there knows where a person can get an appropriate diagnosis and help, please let us know. The Arkansas or Mississippi area would be where we need the help.
