Omg your kidding! Im 14 and have this thing. I got so worried I thought it was an infection or a disease, and googling it made all the suspicions worse.. But now I'm so relieved thank you all for this. It turns out I'm normal, and not alone. I was wondering if It ends up going away ever or if people find it gross. I don't care though, I'm so happy I'm normal

Im 13 with the same problem (purplish/stick out). I have never had sex. When i read about this a lot of people have the same problem, but my question is, "Does it ever stop being purplish and wrinkly?"

Me too I'm 15 and have never be sexually active and one of my minor labia is all purplish and hanngy. I am so embarrassed that I can't tell my mother and I'm scared to have a boyfriend because of it. But all are different right so it may be a type of labia

Hi, Im 14, not sexually active, and i dont have my period. First question is...is it normal not to have my period at 14 years old? Second is... i dont know what they are called, but i just call them vaginal lips. anyways mine are long, wrinkly, not dry, they dont bother me (except they are ugly), and they are purpley- greyish. Also if i tough it i can see little finger-like growth thingys (about 5mm long). Is this normal? Telling my mother or seeing a doctor is not an option.

Hi!  I'm 15 and a virgin and was worried and self concious about anyone seeing mine as my labia is quite a darkish grey colour, but after reading all of these comments from people exactly the same, it's kind of made me realise I'm not a freak haha! I guess it's pretty common so I don't think any of us have anything to worry about and if anyone does have a problem with it in the future I suppose they're not worth being with!

Hi, I'm 19, and I just noticed that there is a large lump of, it looks like, gray brain matter protruding next to my labia. I am a virgin, and don't masturbate and I'm really worried. I'm at college so I can't go to the family doctor, and am too embarassed to tell my friends. What should I do?

You probably have an enlarged labia. You can search up pictures if you like. I've lived with it for about 4 years now.

I have a similar condition. Except my problem is the major labia. When I was a lot younger I used to play with my labia (like a little boy would do with his penis) I would stretch it or rub and now I'm starting to think that was a very bad idea. I took a look down there and saw that my major labia was purple and very dry and wrinkly a few years after that, one was a lot longer and could stretch pretty far, it's not itchy either. I'm not sexually active and I'm just thinking the problem is because of irritation. But it hasn't gone away so is there anyway I can help it not stay dry? I'm sure the major labia is supposed to be pink too.

If it's not painful unless put pressure on and Is a bit fleshy then it is probably a vaginal cyst. I have one too but it's actually in the walls of my vagina. They do get gradually bigger. I'm not a doctor so I would suggest going to a doctor, but try taking a sitz bath (search it up) for about two weeks and see if it works, some of them go away on their own, search up the cause of vaginal cysts, it's not that bad. The doctors studied for stuff like this, there isn't much on the reproduction system that they haven't seen.

And if you can't tell, I'm a 13 year old going into the 9th grade.

About the period—when I was 13, I was worried because I hadn't gotten my period yet so I did a lot of research online. From what I read, I concluded that some people start way later than others, and it's completely normal. If you still don't get it in a few years though, I would start to worry. Hope that helped!
