This recently happened to me, well kind of. My bottom lip was so dry for 2 days & I kept putting chapstick on but it didn't help too much. On the third day, I woke up to my bottom lip being swollen & had about 6 blisters on it. Whenever I get sick, stuff like this happens to me, but I had just started my period & I believe that had something to do with it maybe. So here I am, a week later & the blisters are starting to go away slowly.
you have just discribed my symptoms to a point, at first i also had blisters in my mouth gums lips tongue.Thenon the palms of hands (colourless) blisters then the skin on my feet peeled off, I was told I had hand mouth and foot dicease, however this is most previlent in children I am in my 50's I am now several months down the line & still living with the mouth only symptom.

give me some remidies
I have had the problem off and on for the past two or three years. I have suspected several possible causes from ghost pepper to Chap Stick. I might still be mistaken but think that I have identified the cause as citrus peeling. The oil from some fruits seem to be worse than others, but I am learning to carefully peel the fruit, then wash my hands with soap before eating the citrus. Even then, knowing that I have handled the fruit while peeling it, I separate the individual sections and pop them into my mouth without allowing the fruit to touch my lips. It seems to be helping, but time will tell.
i have the same issue, except mine was happening every month like clock work on my period. and it was happening both down below and on my lips then it began on my forhead, my arms and legs and by butt. i saw 4 drs. all said it was herpes. finallyyyyyyyyy after 10 months they did a blood test, ive NEVER EVEN come in contact with someone who has the symplex virus, the blood test showed this, if so, i would have traces of it in my blood that would be dorment, but i don't. i have seen a disease specialist as well, whom also misdiagnosed me with herpes. im so pissed, and frustrated with this. i have yet to find a logical reason for this. but once my blood test was revealed as negative for all and everything under the sun that the sores resembled, it stoped. until today, 5 months later. i think its due to stress. im going to see a dermatologist tomorrow to have him do a skin scraf.
Its people like you, those who really have very little knowledge about what in the world that they are talking about, who can send these poor people into a full blown anxiety attack. First of all HSF-1 is an acronym that stands for "Heat Shock Factor 1". Second of all, what the original poster has described doesn't sound like the herpes virus. Actually it doesn't sound much like herpes at all. I just want to point that out and hopefully the person who originally posted has seen a doctor and had herpes ruled out completely. As for you, not only should you get some Acyclovir (topical and oral) before your hapless self spreads it to someone else, but you should work on that "Archy Bunker" syndrome that you have going on full blast. Furthermore: Abreva is simply a money maker for a large pharma corporation that barely will even deal with the symptoms, let alone contribute towards healing and possibly remission. It has been clinically proven that Acylovir administered properly during the first herpes attack can send the virus packing, never to return. Abreva sure as ____ isn't going to do that. Whatsmore is that if administered early during a recurring episode it can stop herpes in its tracks, again, never to return. Not always, but it can lessen the severity of a herpes attack and lengthen the time between attacks. They have new, more effective drugs to fight "HSV-1 and 2" and even a working vaccine, just in case ONE may be at risk for promiscuously contracting carpet burns of the chin. Read up and quit scaring the life out of the poor hapless people that you encounter. Worse than a rumor, you are.
They have been tested for herpes this doesn't help.
I'm having the very same thing happen. You might want to check out 'histamine intolerance'. My homeopathic/accupuncturist doc has found that I have my thyroid has a low function, and this can cause the immune system to attack itself, producing allergic-like responses. I'm taking a homeopathic thyroid remedy, which is helping. When I stopped taking it, my lips began to swell again. I, also, can't quite figure out what the triggers are, but now that I have ready about histamine intolerance, I can see that I have reactions after I eat foods high in histamines. Wine and champagne would be included in this.
