I was going through a time of intense stress in March 2007 and had a cold and then my lymph nodes under my chin inflamed. I saw a doctor about a month later and he said it is normal, when you fight something off, and are under stress, for this to happen. He said eventually the nodes would go down.
In June 2007 I stopped getting my period. I am almost 42 and have never had a child so I realize it could be menopause, but it seems strange... I have made an appointment with my doctor and dentist (as I am wondering if it's a tooth infection I am not aware of contributing to the lymph thing).
I started grinding my teeth this year because of stress, something I don't think I've done before... could this lead to problems in the lymph nodes?
Finally, I also started smoking again after five years of being quit and I wonder if that is contributing. I am hoping to get my doctor to write something up for me to help me quit. I hate that I'm smoking but it's an old friend and blah blah.
I have also had periodic, but not regular, night sweats, short-term memory loss and sometimes a feeling like my throat is constricted.
And I'm a bit weepy.
Any thoughts or suggestions in terms of speaking with my doctor would be appreciated much.
thanks.
Pam
