I have the same thing! Been to 4 ent's, Tmj Doctor and neurologist. This includes 2 CT scans and MRI. Everyone says I'm just fine :( but I don't feel fine when my head has pressure and swells randomly. Trying to find a pattern but I have been unsuccessful

I have used l-arginine for a year now, and never had swelling in my temple. About 3 months ago I started taking 100 mg of setraline (zoloft), and was fine. About three weeks ago, I took a supplement--PHENIBUT--for help with sleep. I made sure it was ok to take in combo with setraline, and everyone online said it was ok. That next morning I had a moderate pain in my left temple area, and throughout the day. I don't know if it was the next day, but I soon noticed that temple and the left half of my face was slightly swollen. It's been that way for three weeks now. It's not super noticeable, except to me. I threw out the PHENIBUT--it sux. I've been trying to figure out what caused it. Also at the same time, my doc increased me to 150mg of setraline, so I don't know if it's solely the cause or the other things combined with it. I'm trying different "cold turkey" methods on various scripts and supplements to see if one of them is causing the swelling. I really don't see how nitric oxide could cause it, because it's supposed to dilate blood vessels and arteries. Anyone have a similar tale, please share. Thanks!

After reading a number of other comments I can relate mostly with your experiences. I was unsure whether it was my glasses or something else. Any answers from your doctors?

This has been happening to me for about 15 years now. No one has an answer. And to answer your question I've never had high blood pressure

I have no wisdom teeth any more (they were removed 20 years ago), but I have the swollen temples that just started randomly out of the blue at 40 years old. I am glad you figured it out for your own good though!

I've felt strain in my temples when I chew for a few days now. Today it really started to hurt so I looked in the mirror. My temples were bulging out on both sides. I also feel slight throbbing. It has gone down in the last half hour but is still visible. I don't understand!

I've got the same problem. A few months into using testosterone my temples swell and burn when I chew. Being a huge muscle tank is worth the trade off though. No pain, no gain.

Get a neck and back massage. You probably have a tense muscle that has gone into spasm.
