Hi I just experienced it today and was in total shock because this has never happened in me entire life, but I too am currently using allergy medication and wondering of this is side effects, I'm using an inhaler asthavent because my chest problems are induced by dust and season change, I think I need to visit a doctor and investigate further because this is terrifying for me really

DORITOS!! I literally ONLY get this feeling after eating these specific chips. I was so worried I dont know wtf was going on...

I have the same issue and realized it only happens when eating food that is hard or chewy. Like beef jerky, chips, goji berries..etc
I have no issues with my teeth, but notice that it happens now anytime I eat food that isn't soft. So thinking more it's an issue with the muscles than that of a good allergy.

I had my wisdom teeth pulled as a kid, but now I’m having this swollen temple problem too when I chew food. Usually food that takes more chewing effort.

The first time I got it was also from Doritos chips. It's been 3 weeks and still don't know what causes it. It might be hard food. It might be salty food or caffeine. I am taking care of my diet now but still, I get it almost every day.

Hi - what solution did you find?

I also have this issue of swollen temples. However, it only happens when i chew food to the point of exhausting my jaw muscles. Once my mouth gets exhausted from chewing, my temples swell up. No headache or anything. It just looks weird. Goes away after a few minutes.

I'm finding this to be the facts as well. Right temple swelling after eating for 3 years. Doctors just want to give me pills without running tests to find out what's going on. My swelling seems to ge speading and causing ear eyes and sinus issues. I'm going to see and herbalist. Fn frustrated

It's insane to me that so many people here mention these specific symptoms related to eating Doritos, as I have had the same issue. Swollen temples for a few minutes and the feeling like my head was going to explode lol. I still have lingering pressure along both sides of my head though... It's been 24 hours after I ate the Doritos, yet the pressure hasn't gone but it's slowly getting better.

I think it just happens by acidifying the jaw muscles as you keep chewing too hard for too long. Just trying to relax now and eating softer foods. If the symptoms don't go away, be sure to take action of course :) Good luck everyone!
