I dont know if you get the oppertunity often to refer back to this site to see if people are responding..... i just had my thyroidectomy 3/25/13 i feel and look worse than before.... i caught an infection the day after the procedure and my saliva gland and one of my lymthnodes are super swollen causing me to be in constant psin and obviously a stiff neck...my neck use to bulge out and i was so self concious about my eck always wearing scarfs and track suits that zippered so i could hide my throat... the lumo from the swelling in my neck is worse than what the actual size of my throid was. im so upset... i really feel cheated and also think the surgeon or hospital were neglegent as far as not fully sanitizing the o.r area where the procedure was preformed. i am looking for legal counsil now as i blive i have been a victim of malpractice

I had a total thyroid removal 8 days ago and I still have no energy and feel lifeless. I have had my blood checked and I am on the correct amount of synthroid. I am taking calcium and vitamin D. I had my thyroid removed along with three nodules. I had stage 1 cancer , Doctor got 99% of the cancer. I had the surgery in Nov 2013. I still don't have my voice back, I love to sing and I still cannot use my throat muscles. Should I be worried? Should I contact my oncologist?

I have hypothyroidism. I just got out of the hospital with Congestive Heart Failer, cause I missed some does of Lethothyroxen. They shocked my heart back into rhythm, but said this could happen again now. I couldn't breath, thought I was going too die. I do not want too live in fear of that happening again.
