Testiclesreunited; My advice is go back to the Doctors tell him/ her the problem is still bothering you, ask to be referred to a Urologist.
I have made 5 visits to my Doctor with my problem, I'm finaly going to see a Urologist next week, after nearly 6 months of examinations & banging my head against the surgury door!
Guess what? The nagging pain has stopped again >:(

Everyone has varicoceles!
Seriously, mine hurts badly and its on the left side. What makes it worse is the constant bad pain i am having on the left side of my abdomen. I might have surgery to remove both pains. Has anyone had this done and have both pains gone? My left sided abdomen has become even worse than that of the varicocele.

Hey guys - been reading your notes and it's all re-assuring stuff.

I have a varicocele, it's fairly large but never given me any problems, and my dr said to go on with life as it's not a problem. Recently I was checking myself (as you do) and felt a small lump (the size of a pea) just under my left testicle, feels like it is part of the varicocele.

Any thoughts on this? Obviously I'm worried as I am having other symptoms like a almost continual aching in my pelvic & ab area, but nothing bad or crippling. If the rule of thumb is that if it is not on the testicle, it's not cancer, what the thoughts? Couldit be a result of the blood stoppage that causes the varicocele?

Am having a CT scan on pelvic & lower ab area this week, would appreciate your thoughts.

I'm 24 and recently discovered "worm like" veins in my scrotum. Weeks went by and I just had a ultrasound done. The doctor informed me I have a Viricocele and a small Hydrocele (build up of fluid in between the layers of the testicle).
I am being referred to a Urologist because there is a small chance that there is a "non-cancerous" mass blocking the flow of blood from up above the testicles (more in the lower left abdomen) that a CT/MRI can show.
15-20% of men have varicoceles and it's usually nothing to worry about. I've been back to my doctor 5 times before I finally got an ultrasound.
If you're worried about anything abnormal...go see a doctor. If it's not excruciating pain than it's not necessarily an emergency.
Go see a doctor....that's what they're there for.

Hi Guys, I'm 14 and I'm really worried about a raised vein I've found at the bottom of my left testicle. I went to the doctors and the doctor didn't even check the vein or anything which was annoying and she told me I was fine - I'm not convinced. A couple of months later I went to my mum again and said I could now not only feel the varicocele but I can see it. She dismissed it straight away and thinks I'm being silly and over reacting. I'm convinced I've got varicocele as my testicles resemble some of the pictures I have seen of people who have got it. I don't know what to do and I'm constantly thinking and worrying about it :-(

Hi guys, I'm 14 basically I have a raised vein at the bottom of my left testicle. I went to the doctors and the doctor didn't even check the vein which was annoying, she said their was nothing wrong with me - I'm not convinced. I went to my mum a few months later after seeing the doctor and told her I could not only feel the raised vein I could also see it, she dismissed it and said I was being silly and over reacting. I'm sure I have varicocele and I want it removed. I'm sure because my testicles look similar to some of the testicles I have seen in pictures of people who have varicocele. I have this. I know I do. ALL of the symptoms apply to me. I don't know what to do. I don't want to go to the doctor because I am too embarrased to ask my parents. Is there ANYTHING I can do for a home remedy?

Curious about how big the lump got because mine has gotten to about the size of a baseball at times. Other than that my symptoms are exactly as explained

I am 28 year old man, I have a feeling I might be having a right varicocle. In my case, a small lump appear when sperms travel downwards towards testicles and I had to lie down for a while to ease off the blood flow or sperm flow whatever it is and after a while it becomes fine. Normally, its fine and there is no permanent lump, however, it does appear when I feel a little bit of a pain above my testicles on the right hand side. This lump normally appears on the right hand side where base the penis starts. What could it ? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Try not to worry too much it's easily treated. I had a varicocele mbolization after enduring a few years of pain. I would get really down and stressed that the varicocele could cause atrophy and infertility, so I decided to get the procedure done after it was recommended by my urologist. After the embolization the varicocele swelling went down and the pain subsided.
