The lesson we've recently learned is: if you put it on the roll in some way, then a 3-year-old who shall remain nameless can't knock the whole roll into the toilet after she's just used it. And then the daddy of the 3-year-old doesn't have to pick it out after the mommy of the 3-year-old takes one little peek and goes quietly and quickly out of the bathroom.
