Three year old daughter SCREAMING her privates hurt!!

My daughter has the same problem. Dr said to avoid soap on her private area and only use water. And to make sure she is completely dry after because it can cause cracking of the delicate skin. And I remind my daughter to wipe front to back every time she uses the restroom. To see her in pain is so heartbreaking.

Yes that's what I am going through how did you get help I took her to the er and her doctor and they say she okay but don't know why she still hurting and I got media that they gave me but it is not working and no one touch here he I had he Checked.

As an Obgyn, I can assure you that you shouldn't use any kind of soap on the genitals, baby soap is still irritant and I can almost guarantee the reason for her sore privates are irritation caused by soap. Warm clean water is perfectly sufficient for cleaning the area. No bubble bath at all and underwear should be washed in non biological detergent.

That can help,my daughter has the same thing but she is 10.She had her period in such an early age and that's why her privet spot hurts a lot.

My daughter had a red bump rash and it was a yeast rash. Nyastin helps it and getting the right cream for your daughter from the Dr.

my little girl is experiencing this too but the hurt stops if i stop her from eating sweets and fatty food like chicken skin and pork fats since they're her faves. plenty of water each day the hurt goes away. i'm just here actually to know what soap to use since we need it when washing them after they poop

I have the same fear - especially when it comes to the genital areas.. Maybe I watch too much tv but I just make sure to at least be aware that that could be a possibility. My 2 yr old is complaining in short bursts about her private areahurting and though there is not alot of redness i do see irritation around her labia and urethra.. I will be taking her to the doctor this evening.

My daughter does the same. It’s indeed a uti. Or for my daughter it was. I feel for your daughter and yourself. My daughter drinking a whole lot of water helps. Just not immediately. Wish I could take away the pain immediately.

Yes!!! They certainly do NOT tell you on any of the info sites for pinworms that your daughter could have intense agonizing pain lasting for 2 hours in the middle of the night! the worst symptoms that I read about were just some anal itching the only way I even could suspect pinworms was because I read about it on an internet board like this one. Thank you for writing such an informative post. Your daughters symptons matched my own daughters. I was disgusted and horrified. We are a very clean household. But we still got this. I suspect from a public restroom because we were at disneyland a few weeks ago. And it kind of lines up with the life cycle of the adult female pinworm which is 2 weeks.
Many people are misinformed about this issue. Which is crazy because its so common yet maybe not so crazy because it is so difficult to diagnose. Probably because most people are asymptomatic who have it. I read one medical site that said 50 % of kids will have some experience with pinworms.
Most people believe that you would be able to see the worms in the poop. But its actually only 20% effective to diagnose it that way. Most who have pinworms do not see it that way.
I was able to take super bright light while my daughter was writhing in agony for two hours and see them. But only because i was determined. I looked three separate times. I didnt see anything until i really looked deep in the folds of her labia. There was one pinworm in her labia and i saw another one in her rectum. But i had to pry open her butt cheeks to look. Gross but she was in so much pain i was desperate! When i saw them i was reeling. Sooo gross.
I bought the otc medicine at walgreens. When i bought it i asked the guy if he sold a lot of it and he said all the time. So that leads me to believe that more people have this but dont tell anyone. Im hesitant to tell others myself. Except close family. Actually i had never even heard of this nor had i had any experience with it until now.

I am going to go to the dr on monday. Because of the holiday no clinics were open except urgent care and i wasnt gonna sit in urgent care for 5 hours today. But we got the reeses pinworm medicine from walgreens.

My 3 year old daughter has had these symptoms for about 2 years now and we have tried evrything the doctors dont know what it is. But to watch her screaming in agony when you cant do nothing to help her is awful. It was during one of these episodes that i started searching these symptoms online and came across your post. My partner has contacted the doctors to tread her for threadworm hopefully this puts an end to it. Thanks
