I have had the exact same problem for more than 5 years, probably closer to 10. Now it is constant and worse. When it first started my Gastro thought that it was muscle spasms in my throat. It wasn’t constant then. 3-4 weeks ago it became much worse and is 24/7. I am pretty sure it’s not anxiety as I was much more stressed 2 1/2 years ago after my husband died suddenly and I found him on the floor. I do have Hashimoto’s. It wasn’t until this morning when I was reading various articles that I discovered it could be related to Thyroid. The only problem with that is my Endo is usually booked 5-6 months ahead. I am hoping that I can get in sooner of course. If not I guess I will have to see if my primary will order tests other than just the TSH. Last labs she just ordered that. Keep your fingers crossed!! Oh and I wasn’t even thinking about my weight loss-more than 40lbs. I hope that all of you can get to the bottom of what’s causing the problems with your throat!! Good luck!!
Have you been tested for Lyme disease/tick borne illness?
Thank you good luck with your studies
What may be the reasons why I have felling that something is choking me and affects my breathing?
When I lay on the side at night I feel like I am choking. What is wrong with me?
Last night I slept on my back and had a very strong feeling of being choked. Please help, what can be the cause of this?
My husband's problem goes beyond just choking. After the choking and coughing attack, he sneezes. It is getting progressively worse. Have tried researching online with no luck. What do you suggest?
