Hello everyone ,


I am 32 year old cannabis smoker (heavy) upto six joints a day and would like to stop ,tried cutting down didnt work for me , i want to quit for all usual ,reasons but mainly because i have become a lazy unmotivated angry self opionated NOBHEAD yes a nob and would really like to try being straight again, please may i add that this is not in anyway a slight on over smokers i enjoyed the green for years but as i have got older my own reasons for not smoking outweigh my reasons for smoking ,so to those that still enjoy it goodluck to you my old friends. But i want out so have made decision to try and stop today, with the help of others on this board im hoping i can give it a damm good go will offer my support to anybody else trying to stop goodluck amigos please say hello.

Congratulations on your decision. If you have strong will you will be able to complete your goal. Do you have any plan for this process or you are still searching for positive experience?

Hi dark red thank you for the heads up ,as for a plan on quitting i have sort of devised my own in my head all though i am now going to write it all down any helpful hints would be appreciated my plan if anyone is intrested or think it may help them is below .

THE PLAN.

Clear away all related smoking stuff ie ashtrays rizla books on subject etc etc.
Find a new routine that doesn,t remind you of wanting to light up
Excersize i think is crucial as said on here by plenty of people helps relax body ,clears out antioxidants quicker ,plenty of saunas as well if you can get to one a little trick that i use to do that really helped is every time you feel like a smoke i mean the minute the thought enters your head drop to the floor and do as many controlled push ups as you can muster breathing deeply through the excersize till you can do no more (please make sure you are in a relatively fit state before trying) but this helps me so try it out after getting breathless last thing you want is a smoke.
Diet drink lots of fresh red cherry juice full of antioxidants plus tastes great ,plenty of fresh fruit veg,fish .
Make a list of positive ,and negative benefits of using weed ,my negatives far outweigh my positives this is a personal list that you need to compile yourself my main mantra is (do i want to be fit,healthy,wealthy or wheezy spluttery smoking person ) think we all no anwser to that . anyhow that is my plan now to get down to the crunch goodluck all you other exweedsmokers we can do it .

Hi wiggins,
That plan sound very good to me. Exercise is crucial here. If you can mange a daily routine than you will be out of misery faster than you have expected.
Fresh fruits will also help you, with intake of vitamins and minerals to your organism.

Well I hope that you will give us updates on your progress during this time.

Hi all looks like im billy no mates with exception of dark red hello mte well got day one over with yesterday wasnt so bad even managed to get some sleep i think the 2 hours of weights and circuits helped wear me out ,been eating loads of fresh fruit ,veg ,fish ,and drinking red cherry juice keeps me feeling ok ,just gt bck from gym again for me excersize has always been big part of my life so was fairly fit anyhow but my motivation for gym suffered during smoking days hopefully they are in the past.Have been craving weed but soon as i think joint i do the pushup thing or anything else that will take my mind of it i find stuff that needs lot of concentration works best for me like chess or some other form of problem solving make sure its something you enjoy though or you will soon be reaching for that green goodluck.
