when can I eat regular foods after tonsil surgery? I AM STARFING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A lot of people are able to eat regular food very soon after surgery, sometimes immediately. However, if your doctor put you on a specific diet regimen, ask him/her when you can eat normal foods.
umm actually i just got my tonsils removed yesterday and im in painn you can sart eating regular foods about 2 to 3 weeks after the surgery and right know for the pain to go away you should be eating stuff like mashed potatoes and tomato soup that is cooled off a bit and some people recommend gatorade it heps alot well hope you feel better :-D
Everyone is different. the first few days after surgery I was nibbling on things like chicken mcnuggets and plain cheese burgers. I could eat mabye 3 nuggets and one time or 1/2 the plain cheese burger. I would take tiny bites and chew a ton. I also could eat soup. But yesterday I tried to eat soup and it burned so bad going down. So I made overcooked mac and cheese which was amazing. but over night things have gone from bad to worse. I'm in the worse pain ever and even though I'm starving I'm really scared to try anything.
Whatever you do don't eat things with a lot of salt or acid content. Also don't eat anything red. I would try buttered noodles first but make sure the pasta is overcooked so it can slide down your throat better.

How long does it normally take for the pain to go away after tonsils surgery?
