My 57th birthday was yesterday. Today begins day12 post operation. I'm told I'm having a very successful recovery. Key reason is, from the moment I opened my eyes I forced myself to drink water. Not going to lie, it's painful but hydration is the most important thing. Wherever I sit my cool mist humidifier is next to me.
Eating isn't fun, but got easier about day 9-10.
I gently gargle with cool water or warm after eating anything. Just tried a Ricola Honey-Herb cough drop and it was remarkably soothing. I was about to take some
Pain meds and now i dont need it.
I also mix 2 ounces Aloe Vera with 8 ounces Body Armor drink. Is healing and replaces electrolytes.
Hang in there and hydrate.
May God bless and heal you .

Hi, I’m 56 and have had severe allergies my whole life. Over the last 2years my throat has been sore tonsils red and a little swollen but my worst problem was the large amount of mucus I could not keep out of my throat (don’t smoke or drink alcohol) I was constantly clearing it out. It drove me crazy. I was having some bad breath which I assumed was from my tooth. Ok so when I got the crown a lot of the bad breath reduced which I figured would dissipate. For some odd reason I still had some bad breath and remember a lot of mucus. So one day I’m sitting at my makeup mirror looking at my crown to try and figure something out and I saw 2 white stone looking things about the Size of the end of your pinky so I scrapped them of I thought gross what was this and they smelled awfull!!!!!!! I researched this online and come to find out I have tonsil stones. I had holes in my tonsils and small food particles had been filling my tonsils for years. This caused bacteria swelling pain in throat mucus and some people had puss. I’m here to tell you the videos on people removing them are disgusting an the keep coming back. I used q-tips and omg’s huge holes with stones in my tonsils and the smell is so gross we’ll bingo found my breath problem!!!!!! Stats show millions of Americans have this and don’t even know it has been misdiagnosed for halitosis. I would just like to bring some awareness to this problem to make people aware to check. Bad breath is a horrible thing and ruins lives. I’m going to just have my tonsils removed to eliminate this problem I know it will be very painful but I think it’s worth it. I read a lot of your posts so I’m getting ready for the pain. Good luck to us all
