I have been diagnosed as having a fib. I was put on coumadin for a month then put on Betapace AF for three weeks. I will see my cardiologist again to see if I am in sinus rhythm if not I will receive electrical cardio version. Has anyone had any luck with Betapace AF?
I've been living with a fib for about 3 years. I've been under a physicians care and I've been treated with meds from the beginning of treatment aprox 3 yrs ago. I began with propranolol upon onset of palpitations initially then MD switched me to sectral 200 mg a day. This worked for a short, but then the regular a fib returned. Then the sectral was then increased to 400 mg a day, again this worked for a couple of months. Last spring we increased again to 800mg/day. Additional symptoms have begun; initially the skipped beats and "hard" beats were short lived. He does not treat me with a blood thinner or with Betapace AF. Should I be concerned?
