Beginning this spring consumers at several occasions have contacted the Food Agency concerning a weight-reducing pill named Trimbia. The Food Agency requested the Customs Laboratory to carry out analyses on the ingredients of this food additive intended for dieters. The analyses proved no agents present that could produce the strong slimming effect as promised.

The Food Agency requested the Customs Laboratory to do analyses on the contents of the slimming pill Trimbia sold over the Internet and via mail orders. Sales of Trimbia are purportedly supported by extremely serious claims. For example, marketing materials promise that for each pill, two kilograms are lost, having to neither change dieting nor increase exercising. The product is marketed by a Danish company named Pharmapost. The company maintains no storage depots in Finland, the products are delivered directly via mail to consumers.

As the company operates abroad, the Finnish National Food Agency has little power to interfere with marketing of the product. In addition, records on the company and the name of the produce change from time to time. National Food Agency Finland has been in contact with the Danish food control authorities regarding this problem, as their possibilities to interfere with the deceptive and inappropriate marketing of the product concerned are much better.

Results from analyses at the Customs Laboratory showed the product to contain 37 % baking powder (sodium carbonate), 35 % sorbitol (sweetener), 6 % citric acid (acidity regulator) and 2 % silica (anti-caking agent). I.e., 80 % of the ingredients in the product are agents commonly used in foodstuff that have no physiological effects. Remaining 20 % of contents in Trimbia are other manufacturing agents as stated in the packaging markings, for example lemon, melon, bitter orange, liquorice root shaddock and the Indian fruit garcinia cambogia.

No trace of the new molecule trimbia mentioned in marketing materials is to be found in general chemical databases. Nor did mass spectroscopic analyses at the Customs Laboratory reveal any unknown compounds that might represent trimibia molecules.

Analysis results showed that the weight-reducing pill Trimbia is being deceptively marketed and that the product concerned cannot produce the slimming effects as promised. Also, the amount to be consumed is rather insignificant, thus the product cannot have any greater effect on vital functions.

A useful rule of thumb is that if a product appears too good to be true one ought to view it with suspicion. Packaging shall always carry markings in Finnish and Swedish and convey relevant information on the company that manufactures and markets the product contained. A mere post box address does not suffice.

Hi everyone..I just received the pamphlets from the Trimbia Institute..jeje

They asked to send the money to a PO in Singapore...it is very obvious that this is a scam.

The reality is that there is NO MIRACLE CURE for loosing weight...if we want to achieve it, we have to put some hard work and change the eating habits...

I have not mastered this yet..jeje..maybe one day??

What I do know is that the market is filled with this get skinny really fast...and we all know that if any breakthrough was out there, we would hear it in the news and know about it from our Drs.

Loosing weight withou dieting, and getting rich without working (or doing something outside the law), nothing has yet been INVENTED!!

Hi,

I got the flyer in the mail yesterday, I'm glad I checked on line first.

Did anyone notice on the flyer ,that instead of Putting DR. paul Morgan it only has D.

This can't be legal. at the very least it's false advertising.

I was more worried about ordering something from overseas incase it contained a prohibited substances. with all these border security shows now on TV I wanted to make sure I wasn't doing anything ilegal.

can't someone in Austraila get ch 9- ACA to cheeck out and expose this scam.

I had received something like this flyer about a year ago, I sent it off requesting my "Free Trial Sample" but didn't send any money. a few weeks later I got an international call requesting I give them a credit card number. I of course said, No, That I wanted my free sample as promised first on the advertisiment , the lady hung up on me, and I never got my free sample. I'm very werry of companies that advertise products but don't have a web site or customer care phone number that I can ring first to find out more about a product.

go to the link below to cheek out the offical findings

I have just recieved mail today about this diet pill and thought what the hell i am going to give it a go, i figure what have i really got to lose, it's 69.90 for 16 tablets which you take one every five days untill you've lost the weight you need to lose plus $10.00 postage and handling, i figure i'll either lose that money or the tablets will come and i might actually lose weight, they say there is NO side effects, i would like to hear from people that bhave actually tried and got results without any side effects, i went ti Fernwood Fitness Centre and was considering joining the gym i left to have a think as it was going to cost me $1600 for the year and each year that i want to stay with the gym, i have 2 kids so this seems easier to take a tablet and stay home with them than finding babysitters so i can go to the gym, plus i want to see results now, i have 25 kilos to lose for health reasons so i would like to see these results sooner than later. has anyone from Victoria Australia ordered and if so what results did you get, did you even get the tablets you ordered? the information i recieved said nothing about dispersing these tablets in water and the address i recieved to send my money order to was Institute Trimbia, c/o International Fulfilment Services Pte Ltd Singapore Post Centre Post Office P.O Box 597 Singapore 914020 so that is a different address than the one showed on this sight, the other day i recieved mail to buy other weight loss tablets, they all must know my situation as they are all coming at once it was RapidSlim and it was nearly $200 and you have to take 2 tablets before every meal and you could get what ever you wanted when you want and you'll lose weight but not as fast or as cheap as this one that they have advertised it was a minimum of up to 6 kilos a week and they too said that they would give a full refund, and that was to be sent toRapidSlim c/o global mailing concepts customer care logistics and marketing in asia-Pacific provided by international fulfilment servicespte ltd 10 ubi crescent #07-88 Ubi Techpark (lobby E) singapore 408564 so i dont know if they are related and just trying to swindle money but i would also like to know do these tablets work? Hi from Australia. You said you had just received the pills in the mail. That was last year. Can you please tell me how they worked for you. I am trying to find out some latest information from people who have tried them. I am also from Australia and desperate to give it a go if they really did work. How long did it take to receive them?

GUys...I used to work for one of these companies.. They are all scams. They use ingredients that stimulate your metabolism initially but the rest is gimmicky marketing. The same companies come up with a new program every few weeks under a different name and keep mass mailing to rented mail lists. Save your money, get some exercise and eat sensibly.

I also have used it... And it let me down. I just wasted my money... Don't know about the others, but for me it haven't worked.
