Hello. I'm 40, 6'1", 174lbs. I'm in good health, slim with less than 10% body fat. Recently I had a routine checkup, and everything was ok except my total testosterone is just 320. Results shows that I'm slightly hypothyroid. They're actually in normal range, but doctor thinks they're slightly lower. He also thinks that lower testosterone might be caused by this. However, while we figure out what's going on, what concerns me is this: will low testosterone affect my muscle gains? I am looking to slowly gain some muscle through the end of this year, maybe a pound a month. Would this be possible with lower T? Thanks.
of course testosterone plays a big role in muscle gains but if your levels are still around normal range there should be no problem of continuing good gains with a proper diet and workout routine! if your not convinced, since you are experienced, you ever looked into supplementing with some natural test voosters, especially at that age they can make a significant difference!
