Last week I went with a friend of mine, in gym. We decided to start exercising and to be support to one another. But I didn't exercise, and was very disappointed. Our trainer told me that it is dangerous for me to exercise because I have diabetes type 1. Is this true?
Of course that it is not true. Exercise is an integral component of comprehensive diabetes care that can have multiple positive benefits (cardiovascular, reduced blood pressure, maintenance of muscle mass, reduction in body fat, weight loss etc). I suppose that some of this were your goals that you want to achieve. If you want to exercise you should talk to your doctor about advices, instead of your trainer.
