I'm a 50 yr old, healthy, active, well fit, female. I have unexplained lightheadedness, which I experience Only after a meal. Of course I keep away from sugar, since the dr told me to stay away from sugar, and I dont touch sugar. I've had MRI's from the Brain, head, neck and ears, and its not vertigo, and drs dont have the answers yet. Its very weird, since I dont have any pain, anywhere. The lightheadedness only comes on, after I eat a meal, even a small meal. My sugar is normal too. anybody with this issue?
Maybe POTS
Google it:-)
Guys
Is this thing still on...
I'm in this boat rowing right with you all - my symptoms have been horrible and sound exactly similar to yours.
Here is the deal - GO TO YOUR DOCTOR
Demand they hear you. I had to have a CT scan because I have kidney stones - never would have gone to a GI for what I've been dealing with symptom wise. We plow through - we down play what is obviously NOT normal because we aren't THAT sick. We say it's hormones or stress or in my case spiritual growth since I've recently found faith and evil motherflippers make me puke. And shake.
I have no idea how this will play out and it doesn't matter. My common bile duct and my pancreatic duct are dilated so hi ho it's off to the GI I go. Only because a CT was sketchy so of course, it becomes a specialist to cover the A of the primary.
I'll keep you posted. But no one should shake and puke and feel dizzy and sweat through many changes of pj's each night. I'm old so could it be hormones? Sure. But could it be some GI issue? Sure. How do we know??
You show up for said appt w the GI guy. Almost blew it off but I had to tell myself,
b***h you better be real with your own worth and what you know isn't your baseline. I'm extremely healthy, sober as a mutha. Great shape. And something isn't right up in my gut. I went, next step some test to get a hard look at my pancreas.
Took a kidney stone - but had I gone with just letting my Drs say no worry I might have woken up with yellow eyeballs. Then maybe it's too late.
I'm sure I'm going to have a squeaky clean report, and I'll forget this debacle happened. But you shouldn't. We all flit around never ever letting cancer enter our mind until it does - but if you are honest, it's in your heart that you worry. Follow that heart, trust your gut. If it is cancer, fight and know you will become stronger and braver because if it. If it's not, be a great example of standing up and be unafraid to matter.
Bam - mic drop.
Go to the GI dude - anyone with these symptoms.
Love,
Chicken
Also if your sugar drops, a lot. You probably have gastroparesis. Your stomachs doesn't absorb sugar properly.
