I am 18 no kids relatively healthy play sport ect.. about a month ago i started getting light fevers and cold like symptoms then a few days after I experienced stomach cramps which were more in my upper abdomen. 2 weeks later the stomach cramps got so painful I ended up in hosptal. It really was intense. I have been getting these cramps now mostly at night for 2 weeks and also extreme attacks of dizziness where i feel like I might faint.. Also feel nausea when the dizziness or cramps kick in. The doctors havent figured out anything and Ive had numerous blood test and they have ruled out gaul stones ect. Sounds like similar symptoms to everyone else, anyone know what could be wrong? The dizziness and cramps are affecting my studies at uni and making life uncomfortable!!!
I had the same symptoms, Dizzy, Sick feeling , hot flashes , then when the spell was over I couldnt remember what I did that day. It was freaky and its been going on for about 6 years now. 2 weeks ago I had also my Galbladder removed, but still am having them symptoms, I did some research on the computer, Thyroids can give you the same symptoms, So looks like now I'm off to the Doctor to see if it could be my thyroids.
Hopfuly I will solve the promblem. :!:

Some foods react badly with me now. I have been suffering from heartburn for almost a year. I burned my throat pretty badly on July 07 from eating a wild food and most likely got a nasty hiatal hernia too. I have been suffering with all this off and on since, mostly on.
Milk makes my throat raw, and need to avoid it.
barley was recommended to me.
I eat many safe foods, but sometimes fall off the wagon and pay for it.
I don't know if the lining of my digestion will ever get back to the way it is was

All this sounds so similar to my daughter's health problems since Jan. She has lost 40 lbs. and the dr. is calling it IBS. Next week, she will have a camera endoscopy where she swallows a camera pill and it will take images of everything from the throat to the end...........the colon. All tests done are negative. Blood work is perfect. She is hypothyroid and is in remission from Hodgkins Disease for 10 yrs. We are at our wits end to find a REAL diagnosis. IBS sounds so like " I really don't know what it is, but we'll call it that". Know what I mean? Her life is miserable. She couldn't even leave her appt. because of the diarrhea. Does this sound like something you all are experiencing? The Mom\
I have all of the symptoms and what I have found on the internet is that is may be an overgrowth of Candida (yeast) in the body. While it occurs normally in the body when it gets out of control it can get in your ears, stomach, sinuses ... on and on. I am going to a Gastroenterologist in 2 weeks - will ask when I go.
wow seems like a lot of people have the same symptoms but nobody can say what it is. I too have been experiencing the same type of symptoms - mine started out just headaches & my tender breast about 4 weeks ago and since then the nausea, dizziness, indigestion and pain in my lower back has started ( this week seems to be the worse) and the only time i feel better is when i am sleep. I have also had a rapid weight gain within the two months. I thought I might be pregnant but I took a test this morning and it was negative. I go to the Dr. on Friday for the 2nd time this month hopefully he can give me an answer.
everyone at my job things something is seriously wrong with me b/c these symptoms all started all of a sudden. I am 28 no kids and I have never been pregnant.

Last night I was on the computer doing my homework and sudenly i felt a little dizzy. i layed on my bed becuase i thought maybe the computer got me dizzy from doing my homework all day and i started to feel faintish and nauseous. i was really cold and i started to shake. i ran to the bathroom thinking i was going to vomit and i sat on the bathroom floor while my roomate stayed with me. i drank some wsater and istarted to shake. i thought maybe im really tired and cold my muscles are out of control. i could not stop SHAKING! i sat in my room and i only felt better after i passed some gas and had a cold wash rag on my forehead when i was underneath about 4 comforters. I finally fell asleep at 3am after drinking some ginger ale... maybe i needed some sugar?
is this diabetes? low blood sugar? maybe too much sugar? not eating good food?
please help. this is the worst feeling.

Sounds like alot of us are having the same symptoms with no answers to why they are happening.
I too have been feeling extremely nauseous, weak, got the shakes, Diahrea, dizziness, stomach pains, extreme weight gain(insane)....It started out with fevers and achey breast and then For the last month and a half i have had these symptoms, and nothing helps...but the thing is, the nauseous feeling goes away when i am setteling down gettin ready for bed...
I have had tests run to see what might be the problem, and nothing comes up on the reports. I have had my blood sugar checked regularly to see if its that, and its been normal everytime. Im not pregnant.
i would definatly like to find out what is wrong, because its effecting my life so bad that i barely can get outa bed, havin trouble sleeping, cant do my everyday activities like i used to..Its like im a prisoner with no chance of parole..well thats what it seems.
does anyone have ANY idea what this is? or how to make it better...i have tried everything i could possibly think of, and with not being able to stomach many foods, its gettin harder to keep my strength up...HELP!!!

Hi All
I had the same symptoms for about 2-3 months and had tried multiple options. I am doing perfectly fine... try this out:
1. Take 2 weeks off work for a complete change!
2. Drink lots of water everyday
3. Regularize food habit (8am breakfast, etc..)
4. Take Ranitidine tablets - 3 times a day for first week and next 2 weeks once a day (pref. before dinner).. I didnt have diahrea though!
5. Divert your mind to do something else. (I tried learning music!)
6. Changing weather could also be an issue, so if u wanna goto another more humid place
It definitely worked for me. let me know if you want to know more and if above works for you..

i've read all of these posts and see how many people are suffering with no actual definitive relief from their physicians. There is a good reason for that...and that is that more than likely, the problems are related to yeast overgrowth. I was lucky enough to find a physician, Dr. Richard N. Ash, who is an integrated doctor and has written a book entitled "what your doctor may not tell you about IBS". (YOu can find this book on Amazon). I implore you to at least do some reading about candida, to see how it mimics other afflictions, but can be handled so easily by taking supplements and altering your diet. Many people don't want to hear that their problems might be caused by yeast overgrowth, because in order to get rid of systemic yeast, you must make lifestyle changes which include (for some) radically altering your diet. But i can tell you from personal experience that it works! i was suffering from an earache last winter, and when i went to see Dr. Ash, he looked at my tongue and my fingernails, and told me my yeast was acting up again and to go home and being the "yeast diet". ANY OTHER DOCTOR WOULD HAVE GIVEN ME A PRESCRIPTION FOR ANTIBIOTICS! when in fact that was the last thing i needed, because the antibiotics would have destroyed any "good" bacteria in my system and allowed the yeast to really take over!!
Please, do some research and take charge of your body.
PS Eliminating yeast problems also clears your mind and lifts depression. i know. i've been there. Best to All.

My daughter had similar symptoms... she ended up having her gall bladder out after several visits to the emergency room. The symptoms continued for one year and just recently she was diagnosed with celiac. Basically, she has a gluten (wheat) allergy. She has been on a gluten-free diet for two months now and feels better than she's had in a very long time. She's only 21 years old.
Hello everyone,
I'm 19 and I've suffered with numerous problems for over a year now and still is all unclear to me.
It all first started in Nov 2007 and I had numbness, feeling of a lump in my throat, sighing constantly like I need to when walking when sat. Anyway the docs prescribed me with beta blockers, which made me feel even worse thinking I had Anxiety. I went on other further antidepressants and so on thinking it was Anxiety/Depression I think I convinced myself they were working but I was still feeling sick all the time. They also prescribed me with inhalers thinking I was asthmatic, well I've always been really active infact because of the illness I have not felt well enough to do any exercise and when I do I feel really sick. The inhalers obviously didn't work and I was even prescribed Valium because it got that bad.
Well, I haven't had any antidepressants for around 3-4months now and I feel like I cope better without them but there is still something there and to be honest I think more than anything that is why am getting worried because I know I have something but nothing seems to get solved.
Anyway, one of the things I completely dismissed was a burning sensation in my throat and I put it down to alcohol because that's usually when it's at its worst but I noticed it was a lot worse last year then to now.
When I worked I was working in Admin and tended to eat and be sat down for long periods of time throughout the day.
Anyway, I mentioned to the doctor about my burning sensation in the throat and the doctor says it's acid reflux, which is basically when you have too much acid in your stomach so your stomach tries to regurgitate it hence the burning in your throat. Well I took some medication for this and it seemed to be working but I was still feeling like I a drug dustbin and that it wasn't really getting to the cause.
Anyway, throughout all of this I have kept on looking up possible causes and a lot of the symptoms I've had relate to things like IBS and a thryroid problem but the doctors have not sent me for tests or anything.
I'm back at the doctors again today and I'm going to push them to get a solution. I'm only 19 and for an entire year my life has just been a nightmare, it's a constant battle everyday.
I have problems sleeping, some days I just don't sleep at all and other days I sleep endlessly.
One of the reasons am actually off back today is because my stomach has tightened. yesterday and the day before it felt like I'd done 200 sit ups it felt really sore and of course I hadn't. I took a laxative the other day to help with my constipation and that seemed to make my stomach feel a little grotty the next day but I hadn't taken anymore.
Also I have really weird eating habits, like I'll feel really really hungry and when it actually comes to eating anything I feel like I can't eat it but feel okay after.
I've cut a lot of foods out and constantly mention to my parents about making my food portions smaller but they don't understand they think I'm just looking for a reason to be ill, same with my partner he just thinks I'm a hypochrondriac and it's frustrating because it's not like I can say actually I have this because the doctors haven't done tests.
Well when I eat I try and avoid high in fat foods. My diet at the moment consists of things like bread, cheese, milk, vegetables and meat. I am a great lover of spicey food and one of the things I struggle to do now is eat a full curry, I mean for me its the hotter the better and for about a year I pant like a dog when I have one and feel like the curry is just sat on my stomach going nowhere.
And about the weight gain I put on a stone within a year, i'm still within my BMI but again I've always been a fit person.
I cannot seem to feel any satisfaction when I eat at all, the only way I do is if I haven't eatten in a day or too other than that I just feel bloated sick constipated.
Well today is the day I make sure the doctors know how I feel and that something must be done because it puts me down so much, I feel I can't do anything because I just feel so weighty all the time.

I was sick for 1 year straight with many of the same symptoms that you all have. Nausea, acid reflux, dizziness, etc. I felt incredibly sick after eating - therefore I didn't eat. After 2 weeks I went to the doctor who told me that it was the flu -- 3 weeks later I went back and he told me it was the flu again. I was convinced it was my gall bladder ( b/c of the similar symptoms) it was not. IT WAS MOLD
If any of you have recently moved into a new house or had anything going on that could have led to the infestaion of mold please check it out. The types of mold that cause stomach symptoms also can cause severe brain damage and a multitude of other things. The inhalation of mold can turn your body toxic.
If you think this might be the cause of your sickness I would suggest having someone come out to test, although most of the air tests can lie. If you find mold see someone who specializes in functional medicine and do a detox. Hope this helps - my year living in mold was absolute hell.

I'm curious if anyone has gotten sick on the diet pill Adipex. I am 21 I have lost around 55lbs and I want to know if any other girls have been getting sick or anything like that and what are the symptoms if you have been feeling ill. Could you just email me I will check back on this as much as I can but let's face it Emails are easier. %-)
I have been researching my symptoms, same as yours, and was very surprised to learn it may be aspartame poisoning. I have many of the symptoms at the top of the FDA's aspartame complaint list. I am still going to get checked by a doctor but know in my gut this is what my symptoms are. My symptoms have been: Dizziness, nausea, itchy skin with no rash, squiggly lines in vision and heart palpitations.
I went to an eye doctor and he said my eyes are perfect.
