I have the same smell! like bad breath. It's so disgusting but only during my period as well. I never had this smell until after the IUD. Seems like that's the cause. t

I've had mine for now almost 2 years. The odor just started a few months ago and won't go away. It's terrible. What should I do?

Yes with dark red blood and death is how i describe the odor Doctor says everything is fine when i got checked out. Very unhappy I'm ready to remove and use something else. No bacterial vaginosis doctor got labs and swobs. so now what do you think????????

Me tooooo! It started after sex and then my tampons were smelling up the bathroom. I thought i had an STD and the dr treated me for a bacterial infection. I am almost done with the antibiotics and the smell is still there and even some occasional spotting. I change my underwear like three times a day now because the smell is so bad!

Me too thought was my husband was cheating. I have the 10 yr IUD I got checked out and no infections. But I will have a weird onion smell or something dunno but I'm taking mines out in 2 weeks.

Now it all makes sense cause I have been battling this embarrassing problem alone. I am happy to have found this website. I got my copper IUD 4months ago and have started to notice a strange smell that makes me feel uncomfortable around people.

Yes remove it as soon as you can. I had mine removed and the scent was gone with a week.

No its the IUD. I am not sexually active. I have to control heavy periods.

I have had my paraguard in for 9 and 1/2 years, and before this one I had a paraguard in for 5 years. For about 6 months it's so stinky, have to change my underwear twice a day. I never had this problem before 6 months ago, and only a few days ago began to wonder if it could be from the paraguard being so old. Glad that Google has all the answers haha. I have an appointment in a month to get it removed. Can't wait to feel comfortable sitting on faces again, especially since that's the most action I should be doing without birth control

Love the stuff. I always keep it handy but it can be a bit oricey.

Boric Acid!! Your doctor can prescribe it and the odor will go away for a few days. Just keep doing it every three days or so. Works perfect!!

Im expericing the same exact problem with the smell and color discharge i thought i was an std i had gotten checked twice and Nothing...
