I've had this since I was a kid also. The exact same thing you explained. People seems to be speaking with huge since of urgency and seemingly not taking any pauses and my own self talk in my head seems to have speeded up also. As an adult it happens much more rare. But I've always been curious about and wonder if there are any other similarities between us that have it. Doctors dont know what I'm explaining and think I'm describing anxiety but I know what anxiety is and its not that. So would love to get answers.

Whenever I experience this, I kind of like it. It's like I can type super fast, think really fast about stuff, but it brings me down when I have to do something that's on a set time, like play video games. Feels like it takes forever to relaod my G36. I just stumbled onto this and wanted to pitch in, I haven't thought this through at all lol. Just tossing in that I like it. I try to focus on one task and do it fast, I even try to ride the "high" as long as I can, trying to feel it more as it slips away... Kind of creepy sounding now that I type it, it's just a unique feeling I get a maybe once a month or two, so I want to experience it as long as I can.

I used to feel this way more often when I was younger (25 now). And i just had that “fast” feeling today, so I googled it to see if someone else have been having the same issue. I have been having epilepsy since I was 6 years old as well, but i haven’t had a single seizure since I was 17.. any ideas? Is it perhaps maybe related to the illness or the meds?

I have been doing research and I think it is sort of like a panic attack, even if your not panicked. I think it is your mind overworking itself. I’m not sure if I’m right but it’s definelty scary to feel.

I also used to get it after a certain nightmare that I also could never explain but frightened the life out of me! How incredibly bizarre, it was like being chased and trying to get away from something I knew was impossible to get away from, something so massive, I still can't explain it.

I'm experiencing this exact feeling right now. I used to get it when I was younger but this is the first time in years that I've experienced it.

Is there absolutely no idea what it is? Or why it happens?

Love that it's not just me. Trying to explain it to someone who hasn't had it before it almost pointless!!! Guessing it's just low blood sugar causing an almost half seizure like event? So interesting to read everyone's comments tho.

I used to experience something similar to this after nightmares when i was around 12-13 or younger. The dreams would have a loud mans echoing voice and it would be pitch black. Then I'd wake up and still hear the voice/echoing all around me. My heart would beat really fast and my actions felt really fast. It scared the c**p out of me to the point of tears when i was littler and occurred quite frequently. Hasnt happened since ive been older (now 18.)

have had this since I was a child age 11 It first happend with a fever and happend spontaniolsly untill I figured out that been alone and thinking about it caused it. it's like falling inside your self deep into your own thoughts and mind and it can be stopped with slow controlled breathing and counting backwards. Am now nearly 29 and can turn it on by thinking about it and retreating within my self but can not hold it for longer than 30 mins as it ends when my heart rate drops to a normal pace it leaves the body weak and worn out but during the fast forward all senses are hightend. If I abuse my body by doing it over often I suffer from cluster headaches and ringing in the ears. Although I can start the sensation and stop it once it accours I can not stop it from hapning of its own accord. And as a child the sensation filled me with panic and fear controlled breathing and company was the only thing to subside the feeling.
