I don't recall any nightmare or dreams with this. It would happen to me mostly when my parents were fussing. But now I can just get real still and quite and I can make it happen. I am not sure how, I guess I just think of the feeling and then slowly it will start. I don't think there is a medical or mental problem with me. I think it ha some to do with nerves or being worried.

This same thing happens to me. At the moment I am trying to type this while having, as some call it "fast thoughts", or "racing thoughts." I'm 13, so yes, I'm pretty young. But this happens to me also. I just randomly comes to me, more than likely when I'm typing fast or doing something (not physical) very, very quickly. Mostly on electronics. I can't exactly describe it, but I'll try. It's like your brain is telling you your going 5x faster then normal, maybe more. Your going at normal speed but your brain is kind of... making you think your going faster. I had a dream once about this, I don't remember it much, sometimes flashbacks of the dream, but I know I had it. It started maybe a year ago. It happens maybe once or twice a month.... and it scares me and keeps annoying me at the same time. In the dream I had, I know there was this lady screaming at me. Sometimes she screams at me in my head when I'm not moving.... I don't know, heh. Does anyone know a way to stop this? :l

Yes, I can understand that, but I have never had a head injury, epilepsy, or Epstein Barr virus. And this happens to me too.

My daughter is 12 and gets this feeling all the time. Did you ever go to the doctor? Not sure if there is anything they can do...

I get this exact thing as well and have always wondered what caused it. It usually only lasts from 5-10 minutes and I've never really told anyone about it because it's difficult to explain and I felt like no one would understand. I'm glad I found that others have experienced it too because it used to scare me as a young kid and still kind of does today (I'm 16).

I get them quite regularly ever since I was a little kid. Certain songs and when I am tired trigger it. I personally hate it.

This is amazing, I have been trying to work out what this was. For me it changes from one sort of effect to another. First the room becomes massive and I am tiny, then it feels like my thoughts are squashed and round like they've been blown up like a balloon and I get imagery of round objects that are squashed (usually white for some reason) forcing there way into my head and I cant think of anything else. It then might switch to the opposite where my thoughts are pressed thin and I get imagery of compressed/long objects (this is usually dark- greys and black) forcing their way in. Another feeling is everything moving extremely quickly around me and accelerating. I have this from whilst lying in bed and light from a tv has triggered it before to the extent that I felt I was going to faint. This also can happen when I'm in the shower and water falls onto my head and I just space out. So many people seem to have this occurring without knowing what it is.

For me it lasted 30 minutes and it also happened when I was a kid. My parents said it was because I was dizzy but that day I was really sick, I had diarrhea, and I didn’t eat too much that week

Seriously! Thank God I got this. Because I am also suffering from this. First I thought that it is something paranormal. Everything feels so fast and even the sounds become a little louder .... I was afraid that I am suffering from some serious disease or disorder. I'm 17 years old... I'm feeling so good to know that it will decrease with my age. Thank you so much. I'm so reliefed
