Yes..My Doctor did me the same way, told me she was only doing one biopsy..And took samples from about four places. I started bleeding really bad,and she had to apply pressure to stop it, honestly I think she was doing to much. And that's why I dam near bled to death on the table.

Bambi, you are 99% certain that she doesn't know the difference between her own skin & gel? Thanks for the google info response, but you have no clue!

I had a colposcopy on Wednesday, February 14th and I’m having the same issue. There have been smaller pieces of this tissue from Wednesday until today. However, today I started passing large chunks of the tissue. Gross! I wish my doctor had said something about this.

I guess I should consider myself "lucky"... My doctor did mine as a surgical procedure under general anesthesia. It was yesterday . I am in some pain now managed with Ibuprofen 600. The spotting and passage of the grey looking matter as well. The grey matter is what had me concerned. Happy to know it's considered normal afterwards. Hope everyone is well and received good results. I have two tumors they biopsied. One on vaginal wall and one on cervical area. An Oncologist did my procedure. Waiting is the hardest part.

I’m glad i read this post! I had my colop done on Monday now Wednesday only 2 days later. But i had brown paper looking skin coming out of me, with something looking like coffee grits. I literallly put my finger up in me and pulled it all out! Sounds gross but it was making me disgusted. I feel fine after removing it all And everything seems normal. I was told it was the vinaget drying ur skin out and it shedding.

I Too just had a biopsy done less then a week ago. Since then the bleeding went from spotting to like a period and cramping. This evening I passed what looked like flesh from my insides. With a little bit if blood. I went to the dr but it was just a normal er so they weren't very helpful. Even took the sample with me. Or there said it looked like part of my cervix and to follow up with my OB it was terrible, and was never told this would happen

This just happened to me and immediately turned to google. Thank goodness I found this forum! I had a colposcopy and biopsy on Friday (it’s currently Monday night, or early Tuesday, whatever. night shift life lol) I’m almost 9 weeks pregnant and FREAKED thinking something is wrong with my baby. My doc didn’t inform me of much either, just to expect coffee like gritty discharge and possibly a little bleeding. And honestly neither has happened. Just the orangish, yellowish slight discharge, occasionally then today, the tissue-like stuff. I decided I will switch clinics after I get my results, get a second opinion. Doc was clinical and cold. Every question I asked, she either redirected or answered with an attitude as if implying I’m too stupid to figure it out myself. This was my first colposcopy, of course I’d be clueless and freaked out! After she was done and left the room, I had a bit of a meltdown. The nurses who came in to help settle me down showed more compassion than she did the entire time she did the procedure. I hope you ladies had a much better experience!

Thank you! I had a nervous breakdown on the exam table while the procedure was being performed. Invasive is an understatement. The vinegar burned, brush and tug horrific, with no warning of scary. Four days later a hunk of what look like a hunk of wet toilet paper was birthed!! WTF? Indeed thank goodness we have experienced similar experiences after.

That could be an infection. You might need to call your doctor.

THANK GOD for this. Just happened to me last night and was bawling my eyes out in the shower. My boyfriend had to come comfort me! Haha. I'm so glad this is something normal. Thanks ladies!

I just had the exact same experience and was freaking out thinking it was a miscarriage or an old tampon, but then how could they miss it with all the internal ultrasounds and paps and biopsies and whatever else! When I read the descriptions of wet paper towel and coffee grinds, I felt so much better. I just emailed my doctor, but I'm pretty sure after reading all these posts she is going to say it is my skin shedding after the vinegar solution. I went from panic attack to a little laugh-out-loud at the "wet toilet paper being birthed" comment :) This is such a crappy thing to go through, but I'm actually GLAD I googled a medical issue for once. I love my doctor and she warned me about the mustard/brown color discharge, but didn't say anything about surprise paper-towel alien chunks! Blegh! Prayers for good news test results for all of us
