i've had lip reduction performed earlier today. My lips are VERY VERY swollen, much bigger than they use to be. I was definitely expecting swelling but not bad to the point to have to wear a mask to go out. I feeling like crying right now. Plus I haven't told anyone about my surgery, my parents are going to kill me. How much time till it looks normal, at least my original size ?
I feel no pain, but i'm very very numb if that can help

How long till the swelling came down? I read it takes 2 to 3 days. Did ice help at all with the swelling? I am also planning on having the surgery and not telling anyone.

Looking back at it, the swelling took one and half month to go down completely... But my case was bad, when I came out of surgery it looked like I had an augmentation instead of a reduction. Now it's been four months, and my lips are clearly smaller, but I don't know I'm just not content with the shape. I don't regret having it though. I'm hoping that they'll get even smaller in time, since my case has been so bad, I think six months or so to see final results.

I just had a lip reduction also a few days ago...very swollen also what is it about the shape you dont like? Did you ask the dr to shape it at the time? How do they look now?
