JD you may have mercury poisoning. Check if you have any amalgam fillings. I had the same problem and it vanished after I chelated with DMSA and had my fillings removed.

I know that this post is old but...I have GERD and I have been told that sometimes the 'palpitations' are the esophagus and not the heart. Normally I will feel my pulse and measure the beating in my chest against that of my pulse. Usually my pulse is at a normal steady rate while my heart may feel as if it is beating faster. I do experience blurred vision but I have now begun to wonder if I am food intolerant. I have these symptoms after eating some foods, such as dairy and especially dairy and wheat based products together and sugary foods.

I have symptoms after eating of, blurred vision, heart palpitations and severe congestion  in my nose (my nose swells inside and blocks airflow) sometimes directly after eating or an hour to two hours after.  The doctors tell me that I am fine but I feel very sick.  Sometimes when I wake up I can feel burning from my stomach to my throat and the same nasal congestion, blurred vision and heart palps and a feeling of off-balance.  Does anyone have a clue as to what it might be?

Hi, I was wondering if you could update whether you had a diagnosis or not? I have this problem regularly. Blood sugar is normal.

I am a 28 year old male, and I have been having the exact same issues as everyone in this thread. Extreme sensitivity to carbohydrates/sugar with symptoms that include eye pressure, numbness, increased heart rate, cold extremities, fatigue, etc. Blood work normal, and doctors think it is due to stress, but I think they say this because they have no clue what it is.

31 years old male and for past 2 years I have had similar issues as described here. It started with having a feeling of hard time inhaling during afternoons, then came panic attacks, dizziness and overall feeling of not being well. All blood tetsts and examintaions of my intesines, lungs, etc have been in the range of "normal" One thing that struck me odd, was that my hemoglobin levels are a little higher than should be normal (165), meaning my blood is thicker and coagulating fast. Recently my eyesight has started to deteriote a bit, initially looking closer was hindered and now my right eye has trouble seeing far aswell. My doc thinks I am crazy :)

Hi I just wantef to say I have the same problem and my doctor said he had no idea what this is and that he can't help. I left his office in tears as he showed no compassion whatsoever and made me feel like I'm crazy.

Omg I can't beleive someone else has the exact same symptoms as mine. I tried to explain it to my gp once and he just looked at me as if I'm crazy. I've been living with it on a regular basis and it's just a pain going out with friends as I know that after I start ingesting food it will make me feel all kinds of awkward symptoms and I'll be trying to act normal.

According to natural health philosophies, increased heart rate can occur after eating certain foods one has an intolerance to.
