Hi my daughter has been smoking cannabis for over 12 months now and more often. She suffers panic attacks mood swings she has become unhappy and screams at me a lot she's in college but I'm not happy that she's stopped trying. She has a girlfriend who is the same but her girlfriend is so much more controlling I have told her dr but no help there. I need help.

Hi Lauren,

I have only just seen your message on here whilst looking for some information for myself around cessation and possible side effects following chronic long term use of marijuana and possible side effects.

I see it was a year ago and you may not read or see this, hopefully you're doing well and school, life, friends etc are occupying your time! The one thing I'd say about weed is just hold off on using it until your brain is fully developed, it's one of the few things I regret about discovering weed so young.

However, if you are using and hopefully enjoying yourself ;-) just be safe out there in the world and look out for "weed-overs"

Best,

Take a breather and it will solve all your problems. As for the "pains" you have been experiencing, grip every last bit of courage you can muster up and get your weak ass to throw gym! Only the strongest survive, bud.

I have to say at 27 almost 28 I just tried cocaine for the first time four months ago weekend user now but before that I only smoked pot wasn't even much of a drinker. Iv noticed I always could smoke weed and do anything college, drive, single parent sometimes forgetful but sh*t u laugh at yourself about now I can't smoke weed while still way hyper on coke or in between lines persay I can't smoke until I'm done for the night or I get immediate anxiety heart palps and record ably higher BPM then when on each separate just saying it still throws me off and I forget unless I do it on accident and smoke then I remember anyone else experience this IE smoked marijuana consistently since 13 years old so that's almost 15 years straight wtf why?

That is such a lie! Im a 5 year veteren smoker for weed and ive done coke in the past for like 6 months at a time. I have never felt panicy or scared like i was gonna die. and the only reason you felt like that was bc you did too much, more than your body could handle. Especilly if it was your first time. You proabably didnt know what you were doing. I wouldnt recommend doing alot coke (especally if its your first time) and then smoking alot of weed, untill you have experienced it alittle bit and you know your limits. But if you do know your limits then I would say that doing coke and smoking a little bit of weed is okay

Hello, i have had the same experience and are wondering if after a year you are still able to smoke cannabis and not have a panick attack? I have smoked for years and been fine up until i took coke followed by weed which brought on a horrible panick attack, ever since then i cannot smoke weed without this happening, however it has only been 2 weeks

I assume most who have this problem are not mindful of the type of weed they are smoking, and they are also possibly using too much cocaine in too small of space of time. I have never had any issues mixing weed and coke, but i only use coke about 5 times a year. I have smoked with without stop, for atleast a decade, and paranoia, panic attack, and other issues have never occured.

At most, i felt a very slight tighness in my chest, thats when i slow down or stop doing coke. I am also very healthy and athletically fit, maybe overall health may play a role in not being able to handle abuse of a drug as much as other, so stress levels and very mild hypertension occure.

Thank you for such sound advice. My son is addicted to marijuana and I feel so bad that I cannot help him. I'm not sure his is ready to be helped. I am watching him on the downward spiral and feel powerless.
