Weight gain after parathyroid surgery

Hello I had 3 parathyroid glands removed and have one parathyroid remaining Since my surgery 18 months ago I have put on 2 stone in weight prior to surgery I also suffer with my throat at night I have to take cough medicine to ease the problem, I am feeling very depressed as I am feeling worse not better tired all the time due to excess weight I also have high blood pressure and take medication I have also been given 25 mg of thyroxin which at first helped with my mood swings as my thyroid is borderline normal. I am at my wits end with all this weight gain has anyone lost weight after this operation or had something to take which helped I am seeing the specialist in April for a check up and my blood tests I would be glad to hear from you if you are having similar problems Crystal
