We get short and long term disability paid for by the township.
Life insurance paid for by the Township
very good health insurance (only 125 a month for my family).
2 weeks vacation
104 hours of comp time (because I work 84 hour pay cycles, the extra 4 hours are built in as comp time)
112 hours of holiday time
10 sick days. That accumulate and we get paid for all unused when we retire (up to 180). I also get 30 dollars for each unused day not used in the previous year.
10 percent night differential (any hours worked after 4 pm)
our current contract, 4 more years left, 4.5 % raise each year.
We get pretty hooked up.

How did I know that this was going to be a bragging by Joe? ;)
Currently I have 10 days vacay, 2 personal, 5 sick: all accumulate save personal. My department gets comp time for weekend/night work. 401K after 6 months, tuition assistance. Numbers vague, will be changing in July once we get parent company's package.
Don't know about health/dental/vision - get that FREE through The Paramedic's work. Civil servants may not get the highest pay for the hard work they do, but they do indeed get hooked up with the bennies.
