Does anyone know the negative effects on liver cirrhosis by smoking pot? I was very ill and lost 85 pounds in a short time and was prescribed Marinol(synthetic marijuana) which worked great in helping me gain weight. I gained 25 lbs. in a relatively short period of time. My doctor took me off Marinol so I began smoking pot which put another 20 lbs on my 6'2" frame. I would like to know if I am badly damaging my liver in an attempt to maintain my weight. I never smoked pot before now and kind of wish I had. I am 60 years old
