what happens if you take suboxone, then take oxycontin a little later the same day?

Damn! The bottom part really got me! I know my stuff! but that last paragraph gave me a good dose of reality.

I feel yr pain!!!! My drs told me to go 24 hrs - 48 hrs after my last dose of methadone so I pushed it to five days instead, to make doubly sure (yes, i used H a couple of times in those 5 days so I didnt go into withdrawals.) I was also told to not use H for 24 hrs before taking suboxone so I pushed it to 36 to be sure. THEN, I took that F****ing suboxone and went into IMMEDIATE PRECIPITATED WITHDRAWAL and the agony lasted 5 long days and nights. I couldnt do a thing about it, couldnt use H coz I wouldnt feel it. Thought I was gonna die, told my boyfriend that I was dying in fact, and then was rushed to hospital where they could not or would not do anything for me. So the next 5 days I swallowed ibuprophen, valium, hand fulls of phenergan 25mgs and drank copious amounts of alcohol (i rarely ever drink, not my drug of choice) I had to just to kill some of the pain! It barely worked but at least allowed me to sleep finally after the 4th night. Im on day 6 now, feeling slightly more human but still achy. Good luck! Anyone know how long I have to stop taking 4mg of suboxone til I can feel a hit of H ?

wait 24 to 30 hrs to be safe..but the longer you wait the better you will feel! norco is weak weak weak!!!subs are super strong! you will be hooked on subs wishing you would have stayed on norco's i will promise you. the withdrawls from subs last forever and then some trust me!even after getting down to 1 or 2 mg of subbies per day the drawls are a huge mess!

I do at least 6mg of suboxone a day. I take 4-5 mg a night w/ 3mg benzos sometimes 4mg, and I haven't died...yet. I'm looking fo that combo that will kill me, like tonight I took 4-5mg sub/3mg kolonopin/5mg Oxycodone/0.5g Grand daddy purple/wish I had more to add to combo. I'm pretty sure I will wake up tomorrow tho, damn. I've been on sub for 3 years, for anyone interested, this is my advice.. Make sure you have good insurance first off, one that covers sub, because its expensive. 2nd but should be 1st; you will be trading one addiction for another, and personally, I would rather kick heroin, than kick suboxone. I have kicked heroin, twice, and its nothing compared to sub. Suboxone has an 8hr half-life, everytime you take it, you add 8 hours of detox until that one dose is out of your system, so you dose twice a day, thats 16 hours. Multiply that by the number of months your on 8mg, and your screwed, then they cut your dose, so that 2-3 months of sweating turns into 4-6 months of sweating. No matter what you will suffer, that said, I want off this drug so badly, but I've tried sweating it out, for 2 weeks, and everyday was worse than the last, so I'm a slave to this, it's cheaper to stay with dope, and easier to get off of.
In any case I popped that oxy so I can work my wife's sexy little ass for more than 5 minutes.

Hey just talkin from experience been on subs for a while now and think most poeple ask questions bout can I take this or that with or shortly after my subs is that ok or will I get high or will it hurt me. Problem with all these posts are all of them are just like me your not ready to give up gettin high but you have to be for the subs to work or just quit buyin the subs and go back to the codones and oxys cause it a waiste of time and doctors resource to help poeple that are t ready to quit yet. Get serious or get high that's the only two choices. Either sobriety or addiction that's the only choice

I agree with you Jeff, why bother going into treatment if your not ready.

I also agree with Jeff! Why bother even going into treatment if your not ready to, on the other hand your never going to be ready, your chasing the dragon. It will lead you to serious illness to your liver pancreas kidneys etc. if you continue. I'm lucky I have a wonderful support system of friends ands family who stick by me and root for me. Maybe it's time to reevaluate your surroundings! Good luck

Yes you are right!! BUT that is only how it starts hanging with friends and getting high... YOU could be alone with freinds with family anywhere and when ur oxy wears off your in a alot of pain... It was probly easier for you because you didnt take as much as he did!!

I was was on the suboxone program twice and the reason i went back on is because the withdrawls are ,i think the worst of all the opiates.they take a while to come on because of the long half life but when they do god man man,i would much rather go through a week of hell than a month or more with sub depending on how long you been on and what your dose was..but i did finally get of by a very very and i mean very slow ween,until in the end i was taking a sand spec size and then one day sand spec size every other day and then once a week and it worked with no discomfort if one day that piece wasnt enough i would just take a sliver more until i was comfortable always keeping it as low a dose as you can until you level out on that does then drop down another.0.2 or so for a week or two.its a long process but is the only way i found to get off that sh*t and i tried it all..or this sounds bad but in reality is easier ...get back on your drug of choice and taper that or just suck it up for a week and be prepared for dt's there are precautions you can take to make it more comfortable but i have been on it all,methadone and suboxone are by far the worse things to come off because the long half life it just seems to never end,i would never do that again i will dt of my reg meds first and use sub just to get by or take a break..best luck!maybe if you used it for a week tapering each day you would be fine because you wouldnt develop a tolerance.

I have been in ur postion. doing it as we talk. I take an 8 mg of sub every morning. it gets me threw the day. I stay busy and try not to thilnk about it. My biggest problem is the straw. I want to snort. I want that feeling up my nose, if they would make a pill that taste like oxy and had the drainage of oxy I think I could beat this sh*t hands down. So bk to the ? I do sub threw the day and snort like 20-40 mg at night, and it seems to work for me right now. It has saved me alot of money here latly cause I was doing like two big just threw the day. So good luck with it, there is alot of people out there just like us.!!!!!

Your wasting your subs and money if you snort 20-40 mg's a night or day , if suboxone is in your system it should only take you 4mg's to keep you well, keep you normal.If you dont trust me try it your self . you should look up on youtube, theres a suboxone dr that tells you all about the buprenorphine and the ceiling effect.After taking 16 mg's of subs a day it gets useless so if you take 16 mg's in one day you should wait a day or two then take 4 mg's a day, that will save your subs and your money.It's all about the buprenorphine ceiling effect man.seriously look it up. thank me later :)

If you are serious about getting off of everything......then you should NOT be trying to figure out how to take what you love and are apparantly missing.

If you are in a doctors care using suboxone then you should not be on anything else.
It is hard to get off of these drugs........however you can!! But snorting up oxy.........you're completely defeating the purpose and trading one for another. You may have to suffer a little........it's not a walk in the park but if you seriously want this.....you have to take the clean path,

Your dr is saying this cause your not being honest with him,, if you still crave these other opiates then your not gonna be off of anything in a few months unless the dr Completely stops you an cuts you off from everything,, i have no choice but to take ocxycodone, i have had several opperations with my joints an had some of my intestins removed cause fron Chrones.. my sister"s boyfriend stole my medicine of one months supplie an my dr couldndt prescribe another month till i was due for it,, so i had to go on suboxone,,, Which was fine with not getting withdrawels but i was still in major pain.. The best thing to do is be honest with your Dr.
