Okay....soo..here is my situation. I'm struggling....seriously struggling. I'm used to taking about 15-20 oxycodone 30 mg a day...so u do the math. On a daily basis my body is running of of hundreads of miligrams of oxycodone...not just an oxy 80. My tolerance is very high...I do 20 pills a day and I whiz through my day like superwoman. I have gotten tired of running out of my script and getting so sick I'm afraid I'm going to need to be hospitalized. I went and got a script of suboxone. It took a good 2 days before the sub started to calm my withdrawls...in a way I feel they were so much worse because I take sooooo much oxycodone....and then took the subs and I feel my receptors were still bound with the opiates. Sooo...I've realized...I don't think I'm ready to quit. can't stop thinking about the blues...sooooo.....with that being said....what should happen if I take a few oxys right now? I have about....48 mg of suboxone in my system right now. I mean...approx. I'm prescribed the 8 miligram suboxone tabs. I am prescribed to take two in the morning and that's it. Some one give me and honest answer. I'm not looking for a lecture...I know I'm just NOT ready to quit my blues yet. Sooo..how will I feel if taking like...3 oxys right now??? Will I go into shock...or some serious state of withdrawl??? %-)

You people are all stu pid, why in the world would you take a suboxone and then an oxycontin later that same day, the they are both long acting pain relievers and they are both very strong!! I guarantee your doctor did not prescribe you both, so how about this, go see your doctor and whatever they give you thats what you take. If you want to know what happenes when you start mixing all these drugs the answer is very simple, you are going to die! If you are on suboxone here is a suggestion, your perscribing doctor has given them to you because not only is it what is best for your symptoms but if you are an addict then its going to curb your addiction. All of these stu pid F****ING questions about how long do I have to wait before I can take 20 percocet if I just took 20 oxycontin, or can I take percocet, vicoden, oxycontin, and suboxone at the same time? The answer is you are grown adults you can take whatever your stu pid enough to take! If you are smart you would ask questions like can I quit taking all these addictive painkillers and just use suboxone? YES YOU CAN!! Does suboxone make you high? NO IT DOES NOT!! ITS NOT MEANT TO STU PID!! How many can I take? WHATEVER THE DOCTOR TOLD YOU TO YOU m***n!! If you are the du mb f***ers asking about what drugs you can take to get high and not have withdraws you are stu pid, if you are looking to get high then go buy some drugs, take them all at the same time and see what happens!! You already know whats going to happen so whyl are you asking these stu pid f****ng questions!!!

Okay.....I'm not trying to get high buddy. I thought I was ready for suboxone...I thought it's what I wanted to do...but it's not. I want to get back on the oxys....so my question was how long do I have to wait to start taking my blues again after I have already started taking the suboxone. I am prescribed both. I do alot better on the blues than suboxone. That's why I was asking. I do not take suboxone to get high....or my blues for that matter.

I've been reading this message board this morning and though I know there are a lot of people out there that use these drugs to get high we need to not group everyone the same. I DO NOT use pain medication period for fear of becoming addicted. I was in a car wreck 5 years ago and got my back broke. I did not walk for 4 months and have rods and screws holding me together. I was back to work 4th month and have worked every days since in pain 90% of the time. My physical activity is limited and my life has been changed. I do what I have to do to get the bills paid and to helped others as much as I can. I handle my pain with prayer mostly. I know all are not as strong minded as myself and some are emotionally beat down and can't seem to get up. We all need to keep in mind some of these posters have real injuries and chronic pain that they face every day for the rest of their life.

My daughter is one such person. Every bone in her body is crumbling and she's only 26. She has one daughter that she can't even run and play with. She can barely clean her home or even stand to wash dishes. She started out on pain meds 4 years ago and built up to strong doses over the years. Tired of living in pain and the pain meds really not working any more she tried to take her own life last month. Thank God she failed! Now she is on suboxen but still living with extreem pain that has taken away her quality of life. The doctors said she basically had to take suboxen to get through withdrawals and reset her body so she could start the pain meds over again at low doses. Over time she will be right back with the same addition that she started with and same pain unless they can find out what is causing her bones to crumble under her body.

We need to not judge people when we dont knwo they whole story. We cant just think that everyone is using pain meds to get high because thats not always the case. Even soem of our own family members have made comments that my daughter just wants to get high until I confront them with the MRIs that show every vertibra in her back is crimbling and nurves are being compressed. The girl can hardly walk throught he store with me with out leaning on the cart for support. It just makes me want to cry seeing her in so much pain and knowing it will get worse. I would take it for her if I could and let her live a painless life.

I wish you all good luck and pray that all find the faith that I have found that carries me through this woorld.

The naloxone has NO affect AT ALL! Im sick of this misconception. Its all over the internet. Precipitated withdrawal is caused by the Buprenophine literally RIPPING other opiods off thier receptors. Buprenorpine is something like 60 time stronger than other opiates. so it overpowers both natural and unnatrual opiates in the brain, and it is THAT process that causes the precipitated withdrawal, not the naloxone. The naloxone is in the bupe for one reason and one reason only to prevent junkies from cooking it up and injecting it. Your body will not absorb the naloxone at all unless you want to shoot up sub. PLEASE people stop spreading the lie that naloxone will give you the withdrawal. Its the bupe that causes the withdrawal. The naloxone is a non - factor, unless you plan on injecting sub.

In my experience 8-16 hours after 1 8 mg dose of bupe and im in the clear for the real opiates. If I take bupe for a protracted period of time (eg 32mgs a day for 2 weeks, then try an oxy) .. It takes about triple that time, 24 - 48 hours for full oxy affects.

to sum up

oxy before bupe = possible precipitated withdrawal from the BUPE, NOT from the naloxone.

Bupe before oxy = wait between 8 - 48 hours depending on how much suboxone is in your system, otherwise youll be wasting it

Naloxone = has NO effects on your body WHATSOEVER unless you inject suboxone.

precipitated withdrwal is from bupe competing with oxys for your opiate receptors.

i was wondering what might happen if a person were to take about 2 mills of suboxin, and then a little bit later that same day were to take about 20 mills of oxycontin? i have heard it will make someone go into withdrawls really fast, but my friend says it wont bother you, but then again i also heard that if a person were to mix suboxone and xanax, or most any kind of nerve pill it has a 73% death rate. any one know if thats true? because my friend mixes them together often and he is still alive. i am
DONT WORRY YOU CAN TAKE OXYS AFTER YOU TAKE A SUBOXONE AND U WONT GET SICK OR DIE U MAY NOT GET VERY HIGH. BUT IT DONT WORK BOTH WAYS U CANT TAKE OXYS FIRST AND THEN TAKE A SUB THE SAME DAY, IT WILL MAKE U SICK BUT U CAN TAKE A SUB AND THEN A OXY...

tAKE SUB THEN TAKE OXY YOULL BE FINE, TAKE OXY THEN TAKE SUB YOU WONT BE FINE BELIEVE ME IVE DONE ALOT OF EXPERIMENTING I NO MY S**T ABOUT DRUGS I WOULDNT GIVE U FALSE INFORMATION AND I WOULDNT TELL U THIS IF I WASNT ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE.. YOU PROBLY WONT GET HIGH FROM THE OXY BUT IT MIGHT TAKE THE PAIN AWAY BECAUSE SUBS BLOCK THE EUPHORIA EFECT OF OTHER OPIATES BUT BELIEVE ME THE INFO I GAVE U IS COMPLETELY CORRECT I AM 100% POSITIVE. HOPE THIS HELPED U OUT BUT I GOTTA GO TO SLEEP BYE!!!!!!

You are completely backwards!!!
if you take a suboxone then oxy, the oxy will NOT work and is completely USELESS.......
On the other hand if you use oxy then take suboxone the suboxone will start to work and you wont feel the oxy!!!!
And all this c**p about using suboxone with other opiates and it putting you into immediate withdrawals is BS!!!
I am also pissed about people coming on here to give all these scientific explanations!!(people aren't stupid we know you idiots are just copying and pasting it so you can seem somewhat intelligent for once, but its not working.) no body wants to hear it, just give them real talk for their real life problems!!
And if you really have problems GO TO A DOCTOR!!!
If you come on here for advice and take it as 100% truth you must be an id**t!!! Drugs are very serious and possibly dangerous.
Don't take advice from people who you have no idea who they are!!!
They could be a sick twisted loser who is purposely trying to hurt someone by telling them false information.
This is my first and last post I just finally got sick of reading dumb ass responses from people who think they know everything!
So basically don't believe everything you read, the only thing you should take from these sites is encouragement!!

. *** just a quik reply to this person! I have seen it first hand and yes it has happened to me!! And NO WAY should a person take oc and in the following 12 hrs take a suboxone! It does and will send u into immidiate chemical withdrawl and is so so scary! I had been on sub treatment for some time and had a little relapse. I took a oc 40 (which was nothing compared to my daily habit prior to starting sub treatment) and the next morning about 10 hrs later I took half sub, in about 30 min after dissolving I was so sick and my body didn't know how to react and I started hyperventalating and blood pressure was 210 over something io don't recall? my hands and feet went paralyzed from my lack of breathing and blood circulation and my body acted like I was having a heart attack! Now this sounds crazy since I'm 26 yrs old and very healthy besides my addiction to oc after major female surgery! So yes be careful when u start to take subs make sure u r in withdrawl and be smart

I was given a suboxan by a friend to help coming off of oxys. I took half at 9am and will probably take the other half at noon. I guess my question is how long will it take before it is out of my system? How long before it stops blocking the receptors? If I have only taken it this one day. 4mg. I get my prescription tomorrow, will I be ok to take oxycodone by then.

Hi,

I have been on sub for 3 1/2 months and it has been a godsend. It has changed my life. BUT today I got my hands on some OC and I had to snort a 20 mg. It was an urge I had been thinking of for weeks. NOT because my body needed it, I just missed the snorting part. I just took it and found this site to read the interactions. I feel like sh*t.. emotionally. I have been on the weaning process started at 4 mg aday of sub.. now i am on 3 mg day.

I just needed to tell someone, and I hope that I wont get attacked by other bloggers. I just needed to share..

I want everyone to know that yes I want to be clean, and I have been, I have stopped everything, drinking, smoking and I just couldnt resist today. I even have a drug test tomorow, but that didnt stop me..  I will let you know how I feel as the day goes on.. But so far, I feel a bit light headed. I took my sub a half hour ago and my oc ten minutes ago...

I am sorry for losing my willpower. I just couldnt resist.. and the worst part is that I didnt read first.. i did then read... shame on me

I would have to agree with Jeff 414. If you want to continue to be dependent on other prescription drugs and have them control your life you're not ready to take Suboxone. The number reason people die from suboxone is when they use a group of medications called benzodiazepines which includes Xanax. Subozone is a CNS depressant that is prescribed for you're type of pain management needed for your person pain. If you include another CNS depressant like Xanax the chances of death are increased dramatically if you use xanax for recreational purposes and are trying to feel the high by taking more than is prescribed by you're doctor you would very well die. That is the number one reason people die when taking Suboxone, It's when they mix it with a benzodiazepine and the death rate is much higher than 73%, it's actually around 87% now. Not a good idea man. If you want real help with a real disease I would listen to others who have been through the experience and still remain clean. It sounds like you are doing that. Good work. Keep it up. Don't let drugs control your life.

I COULD NOT AGREE MORE WITH THIS POST!  YOU DONT NEED A LECTURE!  LECTURING MADE IT WORSE FOR ME.  EVERY TIME SOMEONE WOULD LECTURE ME ABOUT THE DISEASE/HABIT I WELL FEEL SO HORRIBLE AND DEPRESSED THAT I WOULD JUST DO THAT MUCH MORE TO TAKE THE PAIN AWAY!  IT IS THE HARDEST THING THAT I HAVE EVER GONE THROUGH AND STILL GOING THROUGH!  I AM ACTUALLY JUST STARTING THE SUB STRIPS TODAY!  I HAVE TO ADMIT, I LIKE THE HIGH FROM THE OXY'S AND THE MAIN REASON I STARTED WAS DUE TO A MAJOR SURGERY AND THE WAY THAT I COULD TAKE A PAIN PILL AND CLEAN MY HOUSE!  IT FELT LIKE IT GAVE ME ENRGY AND I STAYED IN A MUCH BETTER MOOD UNTIL I NEEDED MORE AND MORE TO GET THE SAME FEELING OF THE MEDS  I WAS LITERALLY CHASING THAT FIRST HIGH AND THEN WAS IN DENIAL THAT I WASNT  THAT IS WHERE THE ADDICTION BEGINS!  I AM NOT TELLING YOU ANYTHING YOU DONT Already know!!  The main thing is seek help and guidance first from a non using friend!  I hid and still are hiding my addiction for everyone!!!  Sometimes even myself!  I am a very well known person where I live and hide it for that reason!  BAD!!!  I want to just be back to normal!  Keep me updated on your progress, I am glad you are taking the steps to recovery and caring for yourself!  Good Luck and be strong in your mind!  THINK POSITIVE!!!

to answer your question, you will absolutely get sick while withdrawing from suboxone, and it is neck and neck with the agony of withdrawing from opiates. You get more chills, head aches, and feel really light headed and dizzy along with the usual symptoms of the sickness, at least in my experience that is. And I was only taking about 2mg a day (a quarter or less of an 8mg "stop sign"). I went cold turkey off of any opiate I could get my hands on about five years ago and it took about three weeks before I could sleep through the night, a month and a half before the pain was totally gone and about a year for the psychological effects to wear off (depression, mental cravings, irritation...). Pretty much drugs are bad, mmmmk.
