had my surgery only two days ago. I was put out under general anesthetic. It all went well and I have managed to get by on the pain killers that they gave me without any cramping or discomfort. The discharge was bad on the first day but minimal after that. I am really happy because I was preparing for the worst and so far it's been great. I'm just a little tired.

I am only into my third day post op. I took provera for four weeks before my surgery and I had the operation under general anes. On the first day I had quite a lot of blood red discharge but since then the discharge has been minimal. The pain killers that they gave me have kept the pain at bay and apart from feeling tired and a little groggy I feel great! I was prepared for the worst in terms of pain and discharge but not even any cramping! I can't wait to see what my cycle ends up being.

I'm almost three weeks past procedure and still having some weird effects. I was wondering what possible effects NovaSure can have on hormones.

I am 5 days post Novasure ablation under anestesia. I was able to go tot he bathroom and eat right after the outpatient surgery. They kept me for 2 hours post surgery and I began to feel back pain but declined Lortabs thinking I was just uncomfortable in the bed. The cramping started like a cycle. I realized the pain meds were wearing off for surgery and the pain was kicking in. The lower back pain felt like labor with my 2nd child but I got my Rx filled and the pain subsided.
For two days I stayed pretty much in bed and was a good patient. Minimal draining from the sloughing off of the endometrium. The more I do around the house, the more cramps and discharge. I had to go back to work yesterday and my biggest complaint was the cramps and how it hurt to sit on my bottom. :-) I was not prepared to endure cramping but from friends of mine who also had alblation they went through the same thing. I see my dr. in 3 weeks. I know my body has to heal and the sloughing of the endometrium is expected to last a while, I hope the cramps subside as I do not like to take pain meds. Feeling faint has also been a side effect for me which is also normal. I just need to take it easy and not over-do it. No mood swings.

Thank you to all the women out there who posted in this thread. I had the Novasure procedure done 3 weeks ago and was getting really worried that I'm still having lots of pickish discharge. My doctor told me it would only be about one week! I feel a lot better now knowing that many women have this discharge for up to about 4 weeks. Thanks so much for posting!

I had the novasure procedure done 4 days ago, was wondering how much time you all took off work? I dont think I will be ready to go back to work on Monday so was going to ask my doctor for another week off. So far I am glad I had the procedure done, loss is very very light at the moment, am positive about the future now. I just feel unwell but have come down with a really bad cold and cough, which is just bad luck. When does the cramping stop?

I am 4 days post op from the novasure procedure and tubal ligation. So far I have very light cramping and I have no discharge. I am returning to work tomorrow but a little nervous. Is is normal to have the discharge right away or does it take a few days to start? Should I take a few more days off from work just in case.

I had my ablation done on 4/8. I bled for about 2 days. Then stopped. Then for the last 3 days I've had heavy bleeding with clots when I wipe. Is this normal? Also the smeall is different than before. It's rather nasty. I can't get in to see my doc till next week. I'm having to change my pad more frequently than I would if I was having a regular period and the cramps are horrible. I feel tired all the time and run down the last few days.
Any advice from anyone??
I also had the Essure Tubal procedure done and the TOT procedure done on my bladder. Wonder if any of that could have something to do with this as well?

I had my ablation done almost two weeks ago. It has been great to see that others are having a similar experience as I am. I thought I would be back to normal by now, but I'm still having times of fatigue and spotting.
I'm an avid exerciser. At what point did you all feel comfortable exercising again (jogging, playing sports, etc.)?

It has been one week today that I had my Noavure done. The first day I felt really good, but the second day was bad. I probably over did it. Some pinkish discharge, but mostly clear. Been taking it easy for about 3 days and on the 4th day I went to the gracery store so I walked around a little bit. Hadn't done much walking or standing since I had the surgery. After going to the store I had a little more discharge that day. I still have some cramps, and the back pain have kicked in. My discharge has almost completely stopped but the smell is different. And I kind of have this heavy feeling. Not to mention peeing all the time. But overall It haven't been so bad.I go back to the doctor next friday for a 2week checkup. I will post them.

I would like to thank all the women that put, comments about the recovery time. I had my procedure done on 5/5/2009, I have a pinkish discharge (watery) for now over 2 weeks. I h/ave a headache for over a week now, nothing seems to stop it. Wanted to know if this is normal and when will the discharge stop??? Other than that, I actually feel good. Before my procedure was done my bleeding lastest for over a month until my doctor put me on birthcontrol to control it...Wanted to know if anyone else is feeling that way :-)
