I had a partial hysterectomy in 05' and was pain free for all this time i had endomitreosis so he took everything but my right ovary.because of my age i am 39 now in 2010 i started haveing bad pain on left side knock me down pain no one could figure out what it was being i didnt have an ovary on that side. so back into surgery come to find i had alot of scar tissue that was wrapping around and pulling to the left side. did that i was great for a while sex was awesome life was good. I started haveing pain again this time i saw a new dr after all the testing and being in er from pain there was a cyst where my uterus used to be all the cat scans and ultrasounds were shes got a uterus but i didnt it was removed all i had was my right ovary everything else was gone so with the pain and the findings in the testing we decided to finish the hysterectomy its only been a wk i had surgery on the 14th of this month january and i am up and around i feel great not over doing it of course since ive been up and around my sex drive is through the roof i dont want to wait but know i have to my sex drive was good before but it is omg i want it so bad. so i guess sex drive can improve much much improve i know im going away with my husband when i can.

Ihave lost all desire after having a total hystorectomy. Is there anything out there that helps to maybe erosal you to want to have sexual drives.
I'm 20 years old, 3 months ago I had a total hysterectomy. I had very sever endo. I'm on estrogen pills and use premarin cream because I was having difficulties with sex. I feel great, my pain is gone, my menopausal symptoms are under control. A hysterectomy is by no means a quick fix, but for some women it's a great option. I feel so much better, my sex life is great, my drive hasn't gone down any either.
my wife wont even let me touch her now we sleein seperate rooms. She had a radical hysterectomy 9 months ago and im starting to think its all over. Can anyone help?
Personal answer, taking hormones can help the sex life issue. I had a complerte hysterectomy at 38. To be honest yes your sex life can change. there is a lack of interest, desire or sex drive. We are not animals but think of what happens when you have a pet spade or netured. But there are medications that can help with the issues. You health must come first and foremost. But honestly yes it changes
hey, let me tell you one thing i am also 29 years old, I had my Hystorectomy 4 years ago. the sex is okay but always use a waterbase lube and not the other stuff you will get infection.
I was 33 when I got my total hysterectomy back in 2006. My sex drive died plus intercourse was painful. I haven't had sex in almost 6 years. It ended my marriage. I no longer felt any pleasure nor could I orgasm. The hysterectomy saved my life. I had no choice. I just wished it could have waited until later in life. I wasn't ready to give up sex just yet.
Hi I am due to go in for a total hysterectomy and I am scared I will loss the little sex drive I have. I am only 40, I am sh**ting bricks. I love my husban and I love making love to him. My beautiful man is always wanting to make love to me.
I am scared for the same reasons, and i just turned 40. Your hear good and bad, and you worry about falling into the bad category. I am suppose to get a hysterectomy in a few weeks, and they want to remove the cervix and the uterus (leave my ovaries). My doctor tells me since i will have my ovaries that nothing should change. Some people say you need to keep your cervix. I have a great sex drive, and i adore my husband we have been together for 19 years and i do not want anything to change. This is probably the scariest thing i have been through.
My girlfriend had this surgery years ago and she enjoy sex tremendously, but as for me, I dont feel her contraction when she has an organism. We use lubricant and most time I dont feel her, so im not getting the same satisfaction as she dose. Im sexually frustrated and the relationship is suffering from this. Please help!!!
This coming october,27th will 2yrs.,that ive had my hysterectonomy,&for 3days now my nibbles have been sore,but the sex is awesome!!!!
I am due to have a hysterectomy on the 6th November after having a laparoscopy last week where they discovereoft hat I have severe endometriosis... I have bought the book endometriosis for dummies which is fab and has explained a lot... But lookingforward I am becoming concerned about the recovery from the hysterectomy. One of my concerns is my sex drive.. I don't have a high sex drive as it is, and I am really concerned that it will disappear into nothing. I have been with my hubby now for 20 years (I am 40) and really don't want him to think that I do not love him anymore if ma'am not showing affection.....
Can anyone advise me on what happened to their sexdrive after the op.. Obviously I will be on hrt... Does this effect it too? Help!!!!!
At the age of 43, I had a hysterectomy wherein my uterus and cervix were removed. I am 11 months post-op and I feel great. Prior to surgery, I didn't have much of a sex drive at all. I am not on any medications, and my sex drive has increased monumentally. My husband is loving it!!
My wife had her uterus remove at 32 due to excessivw bleeding. sex life went from once a week to twice year and thats because she tired of me begging. What can i do to have sex life againis she suppose to b taken hormon pills.
