You don't go to chiropractors for a massage. They are doctors of chiropractic, in which they address the spine and nervous system function. And what controls your organs? hmm..your nervous system. Chiropractors are trained to be extremely thorough about the human body, dare I say more training then medical doctors (look up the chiropractic curriculum) Do not bash chiropractic. Educate yourself first.

Try massaging the area..deeply. Mine was due to trapped wind/gas.

You pulled your rib out of place under your scapula. I do that all the time. It sometimes gets better on its own if it's just slightly out but if it's impossible to take a deep breat then an adjustment is the only thing that will get it back where it is supposed to be.

Chiropractors have the same training and education as an allopathic physician, minus pharmaceuticals. Their understanding of pathologies and anatomy are equivalent. ND, MD, DN, DC, DO... they all have the title “doctor”, and none of them are better care providers over another; they’re simply different. Chiropractic literally means “manual medicine”.
Finally, while some DCs do soft tissue, it is an LMT that has focus on massage. DCs adjust bones.

I’m having all those, joint pain, hair loss and pain under my shoulder blade when breathing... what test did your doctor run?

I have been having the same symptoms for three weeks. The sharp pain has not gotten better. Coughing and taking a full breath makes it worse.

Everyone I have ever known that sought chiropractic help without exception ended up worse than when they started.

Actually, chiropractic is absolutely quackery. Ask any M.D..
There is some degree of legitimacy to theraputic massage and realignment; but that is not chiropracty. Please familiarize yourself with what the word means before you make a claim that it's not quackery.
Basically you're 10 times better off going to a physical therapist than a chiropractor if you need realigned. Just read some studies in the efficacy of chiropractic treatment for physical health issues.

It's absurd to defend a practice that can't even defend itself with statistics....

I have a sharp pain under my left back shoulder blade. It is hurting so bad. Sharp pain when I inhale and exhale. Also when I move in certain positions. Actually, there are only a few positions that don't make hurt. What is going on?
