Hi there, I have a friend who was prescribed with one medicine and now he is still taking it. When do you consider someone an addict? I am really worried about my friend and that is why I am asking this question. I would be grateful for every answer you can give me. Thank you in advance.
Hello, I think I will be able to answer your question. This is a good question. I think that the person is becoming an addict when he/she is taking medication, and he/she doesn't have to do that anymore because he/she is cured from whatever he/she was suffering. I think that is the correct answer on your question. So if your friend should still take a prescribed medication, then he is not an addict, but if he is cured some time ago and he is still using it, then he is and he should seek professional assistance.
