I have heard that antiphospholipid syndrome is sometimes treated with chemotherapy. This surprised me, because I was under the impression that a) antiphospholipid syndrome was an autoimmune disease and that b) chemotherapy is used to treat cancer. What am I missing here? When is antiphospholipid syndrome treated with chemotherapy? Thanks!
I am not sure about the details, and I am not a medical professional, but I have indeed heard that antiphospholipid syndrome is treated with chemo sometimes. I have heard that this has got something to do with leukaemia? Perhaps it is in fact related to cancer in some way, and that is why the chemo is needed?
