I'm a 25 year old female suffering from possibly recurrent yeast infections. I got my first yeast infection in October of last year after a new sex partner and a switch in birth control...it was treated after a visit to the doctor. The symptoms mostly went away but after my next period they came back. I went back to the doctor, got a different medication and switched birth control types. The yeast infection came back the next month and the two after...since I've always taken tricyclate birth control before these last two I stopped my bc thinking maybe that was the problem but the symptoms came back. I treated with a OTC medication last week and my symptoms haven't changed at all. For all but the very first "infection" my symptoms consist ONLY of thin white discharge and minor itching. Other than this I feel completely fine--if the doctor hadn't specifically told me I had a yeast infection I don't think I would be worried, but since these symptoms have literally been nonstop for 6+ months, I feel like I have to get some answers!
Hello! Yeast infections do not always have the same symptoms! I truly believe that you have Vaginitis! And your doctor needs to take a swab and then wait, get the results then give you antibiotics to treat it! UNFORTUNATELY the antibiotics can also give you a yeast infection! Thus my theory that God IS a man! ;-D

These are some of the things that can help you! Eating probiotic yogurt, using non scented cleansers (body and washing), 100% cotton underwear, air dry the area as much as possible! And also try and cut out carbohydrates and sugar (especially pop) as the candida survives on eating the sugars/yeast!

Hope this helps, and please let me know what the doctor finds out - also try not to change the BC so much! Your body needs a good 3 months to get used to it!
