About 3 days ago i started feeling pain at the back of my throat. I was told to look at my throat with a flashlight and when i did i noticed white bumps. I went to my doctor and she swabbed me for strep telling me it could either be strep or mono, but the results where negative for strep and they say they dont know what it is. I want to have them investigate it some more but they said they're on interested in strep throat. They told me to call the nurse hot line but when i do they all tell me the same thing "sorry, we only focus on strep throat so just drink lots of juice and eat lots of pop sickles. It should heal soon." What do you think it is?

i have the same exact symptoms and i tested negative for streph
They might be cankersores, I had them in the back of my throat (and they HURT) when I got hand/foot/mouth disease.
