I recently had a hernia op and had to shave my pubes. I noticed that a bunch of them at the base of my penis were growing back thick, wirey and grey. I put it down to age and shaved hair growing back ?. 6 months later and I noticed that the hairs are coated in something that makes them appear as described ?. I shower every morning and consider myself clean. Same partner for last 15 years. Any suggestions what it could be ? %-)

yah!! u see when you had to shave your pubes, it was bald. well, when your hairs grow back, they have a white coat on em. well thats because they're new hairs, and you have nothing to worry about! they're are no diseases that relate to it, and as far as i know your clean! lol. don't sweat it i have the same thing here

It sounds like trychomycosis pubis, basically benign bacteria coating your hair follicles.
