My 37 year old daughter was recently diagnosed with Susac's Syndrome by Mayo Clinic. Anyone having the white matter spots, tingling, hearing and vision problems should research Suscac's Syndrome. This is a very rare disease. Many patients, including my daughter, are misdiagnosed before finding the real cause of their symptoms. I urge you to educate yourself on this disease.

I still have lightheadedness. I have to use a walker or sometims a wheelchair to get around. I did see a chripractor for a year. I had a lot of decompression on my lower back. I feel much better now. I still don't much about these spots on my brean.

I have Chiari Malformation..When they did the MRI and found this, they also mentioned the white spots on my brain. I know it can be associated with MS...But I'm trying to find out more about it...Other things it can be related to. Headaches come with Chiari...do you have any other symptoms?

  • Hello everyone I am a 42 year old female and single parent. I recently had a stroke and was hopitalized for about a week. during my stay at the hospital it was quite a experience this was scary for me and my family as well. I had to take a MRI and it was discovered that i not only had a stroke on the left side of my brain but i had 2 strokes previous to that as well. Then they told me the other concern was that i had multiple spots on both sides of my brain. Instantly i started crying and crazy thoughts were crossing my mind. It has been 1 month and i go to rehabilitation 2 times per week. this is helping me tremendously. I will keep you all in my prayers and update you all once i get some solid answers. God Bless You All....

Hi, I'm 16 years old and last year i collapsed unconscious after suffering severe headaches and sickness days before. I was in hospital when they diagnosed me with migraines which supposingly I had been suffering with a much longer time than once thought. I had an mri scan the last day of my weekend in hospital and they found small bright white spots in the brain, they were asking a lot of questions about if I ever felt one side of my brain was heavier or lighter. They didn't tell me anything just sent me home with the knowledge that they were going to have me do another test, which is coming up increasingly to see whether the spots have developed. Do I need to be worried? what could this possibly be?

Hey everyone and person above. I have always suffered from pain in my head and migraines. When  Iwas 16 I requested an MRI but was told i'm a "hypochondriac" and shrugged off. 7 years later...I get random dizzyness out of no where for two days. Split second weird feeling. 3rd morning my dog crapped on the floor... I bent to clean it my daughter in the crib...everything normal laughing about the poop. Go to the kitchen sink and start washing my hands when all of a sudden I get EXTREMELY dizzy to where I can't hold my self up or walk straight. By the time I got to the phone to call 911 the whole left side of my body was paralyzed including my left corner of my mouth, talking was rough. Though, I was totally sane normal as ever like no slurred speech or not knowing where I was. I couldn't stand up at this point, my head was pounding, everything was dizzy, and still the paralysis through out the left side (still had feeling) anyway my CT SCAN was normal at the hospital. Symptoms lifted after about 2 hours and 30 minutes. Once dismissed I found it hard to type that night...after 2 days typing was normal again. Dizzy like a bowling ball was rolling in my head for about 2 weeks. Once I returned somewhat normal I still had sharp pain in my head (directly inthe middle of my brain it felt) as well as a migraine now and then. I seen a neurologists that basically shrugged his shoulders saying my ct scan was normal so...hopefully it doesn't happen again. And he said that I seem like an anxious person? hmm ya think? after all that's happened to me? I said I wanted an MRI which he said fine he guesses it's reasonable. Low and behold they find "SPOTS" on my brain near where I get my pain. go figure? So I wait a month for my appointment and again the neurologists shrugs me off. Says the spots aren't uncommon in people. that I should get on some stress pills. I told him since my paralysis episode I get pain in my elbows. He laughed and said he is not an elbow expert. I SWEAR to you people this is happening. i'm dizzy everyday, I get pain in my head. It seems no one cares I feel helpless and discouraged. He didn't even want to do an MRI I KNEW something was in my head before even getting it...and the results proved there is something there. That is not a coinsodence. I know my body, I know how I used to be and I'm no where near feeling how I used to. What kind of explaination is spots? is that the doctorial term? The man is a joke. Free health care yea, more like "free health" there is no care in it at all. Something is wrong and I wish a doctor would take the time to figure it out.

My friend is 22 years old and he too experiences frequent headaches, weakness, dizziness etc. Almost a year ago doctors diagnosed some spots in the MRI scan of his brain and proceeded further with treatment for cancer. He was put on medication and also underwent a surgeryG to remove the spots. But there wasn't much improvement and he still continued experiencing headaches, brief periods of unconsciousness and body pains. On a recent consultation with another doctor, he told that it is not cancer and that the spots were caused when one is under pressure/strain and the headaches etc are result of it. I'm totally confused now...Are these the symptoms of cancer or is it something less dangerous?

Is your BP high? I had migraines, and the symptoms you have, and it was very high BP. Had a TIA (stroke) and got a MRI at the hospital. The MRI showed white spots on my brain and it was said due to the TIA and migraines. Once I went on BP meds I felt great. Hope you do well soon

ask ath edoctor and not asny id**t here!same symptoms of a disease can occur in 2000diseases and only a doctor can make a diaphorical diagnose.otherwise there would be a symptom check list and we would make it ourselves!as about the white spots if they are 2 and small usually its nothing.it can be from smoking (usually excesive)or alcohol(excesive usually).it depends also on the area where they are found and other co-factors.The doctor will tell you.sure the result may talk about a recheck in future as there may be a degeneration of cells.thats for multiple sclerosis but usually its nothing and this spots are found in many people by chance.so until u talk to doctor dont worry!

Hello, I was diagnosed with MS 6 years ago. White spots on my brain. I have had several testing and they all stated the same MS. However, I'm curious if something else is going on. The neurologist couldn't find any other symptoms. I wish you get better.
