I keep hearning about Dr. Norman in FL. Does anyone in NYC do what he does and as well?
Hi:
I don't live in that area, but I thought I could advise you to look the doctor(s) up on the Internet. You should be able to find info about their education, specialization(s), board certification; and most importantly their success rate. That is what's most important. You'd also want them to be respected in their medical communities, regardless of their education and specializations. In addition, you'd want your chosen doctor to be associated with a reputable hospital. I hope this info helps...Let us know what you decide. Other members may be searching in those areas also.

Hi there,
The fact is that I didn’t have any problems with my parathyroid so I can’t really give you my personal experience on this one or even suggest a surgeon that is good and reliable. However I can tell you few things that you need to pay attention before you choose your surgeon. The fact is that surgery is the only option when it comes to parathyroid disease. You have to know that cure rate depends on the experience of the surgeon so ask him about this. Also ask about success rates of the surgeries that he has completed in his career. Ask about the scar after the surgery also because you don’t whant anything to be noticed on the skin.
All the best,
Danella
