help!! i smoked pot while pregnant. i'm due on november 10th. any day now really. when i deliver my baby girl will they test her for drugs and take her away from me?? i need to know. i am also on state medical coupons (DSHS). i just heard that they do test for drugs if your on state med. . but i also heard from someone else that they only test if the doctor you had, found you suspicious or missing appointments. If they test her after she is born, you could be in trouble. If the State is helping you survive, i would think they want to know where their funding is going.
If they find it in your blood, they probably will check the baby's. Why would you use drugs while you are pregnant anyway?
I would think that you could have abstained for 9 months so your baby could get a good start in life.
Now you won't know if she has any problems until she gets older.
