I've had a lump on the lower left side of my abdomen for quite some time now. Sometimes it sticks out to where i can see and feel it without having to push a little to feel it. When it gets bigger and harder I pass gas if i push on the lump. I never really had regular bowel movements so i don't know if it has changed at all but i sometimes have sharp pains on my left side and sometimes gave a hard time going to the bathroom. I've looked into Chromes and i didn't really have much symptoms. I asked my doctor but it was a day that the lump was small and it was months ago before I really started worrying. But now I saw an episode of Dr. G and some girl died at 28yrs old who had chromes. When she got examined she had a large lump in her abdomen. Her intestines wrapped around itself then burst causing her bowels to get into her abdomen which because the bacteria killed her. I'm doing my best to remember the correct terminology lol. But now I'm worried that my issue.
Hi Danilee,

I think you're thinking of sepsis or septic shock, a very severe and life-threatening infection.

The disease you refer to is Crohn's disease.  It's a form of inflammatory bowel disease.  Basically, the immune system attacks these tissues causing inflammation.

I did not see the episode of Dr. G.  I would expect that the person in the episode would have had excruciating pain.

Without speculating as to the lump you see, check with your doctor.  They are your best resource.

Good luck.
