my mum is about 52 years old and used to get injections to stop her period
i don't know how long she had them for but a while ago she stopped because her period had stopped
but it was a couple of months ago when she got it
i had forgot about it until yesterday where she said she had it again for the 3rd time
she called about it when it was only the second time and they said it should be fine unless it was painful i think
but yesterday she was feeling quite sick or sore
it was better today but is this natural for women this age and should we be concerned?

Sounds like Menopause at her age it's not uncommon. Three periods a month definitely isn't healthy. She should consult a doctor and have it checked out. Around her age is where Menopause usually starts no worries though if there was something significantly wrong with her ovaries or uterus the periods would stop and that's bad. If she has three periods she could be over ovulating. Without her shots she may be at a loss of the hormones the shots were offering and it's her body over compensating.
