How did you finally get to the point of figuring out it was the ADD medication? My daughter also takes medication for ADD.....during the summer she didn't have any problems and as soon as school started back and she began her medication again, she started complaining of "shocks" (as she calls it) or spasms in her vaginal area.

Hello, my six year old daughter also suffers from awful vaginal pains, just at night. I have read that threadworms can be the cause, you need to check with a torch! I'm convinced that it is threadworms that are causing my daughter so much pain so first thing tomorrow I shall be getting the medication to eradicate them. Please do consider threadworms.

I am 62 years of age and I have had this problem for years with no explanation. I have had ultra sounds, MRI ...the works. I have even had a hysterectomy for precancer. I also experienced this horrible pain. I am in my late 30s now and had it when I was about 8 years old. It is very real. There was never a reason provided. I did grow out of it. Always at night time and I didn't do anything to cause it! The doctors are flummoxed by this- still!

If the pain is at night it could possibly be a threadworm trapped in her vagina -my 8 year old daughter had same symptoms and I used a torch at night and found one alive in there! Upon removal the pain stopped. Also get treatment asap for worms.

Hi, i dont know if this will help but as a kid i would be up jumping about from the same kind of pain. Doctors had no idea what it was, one night my dad sat me in a bowl of warm viniger water which did take that burning away pretty quick it was something to do with th PH levels

My daughter has these same symptoms and i just checked with my phone flashlight and found 2 pinworms trying to crawl from her bum to her private. Pinworms are very common, as kids dont always wash or wipe properly. Easily treated with over the counter meds or a dr. Visit. Make sure when you check thatbit has been dark in the room for a while, they tend to come out when its very dark and when you finally shine a light you can see them. Best of luck to all the parents. It is scary but I am so thankful it is something common and easily cured.
